What are the registration deadlines?

Am I able to register multiple people from our
clinic at the same time?
Yes. If you are registering multiple DVMs by fax
or by mail, please make a copy of the registration form on the next page (or download a
PDF from www.mvcinfo.org) and complete a
separate form for each individual. If you are registering multiple non-DVM staff, use the form
beginning on page 67.
You may also register multiple individuals
online. Follow the prompts to add as many veterinarians, technicians and/or staff as needed.

Another option to register multiple individuals
is to purchase a Hospital Staff Pass. (See below.)
• HOSPITAL STAFF PASSES •
Who can use a Hospital Staff Pass?
Any member of a hospital staff, excluding veterinarians and technicians, may use the Pass.
How does a Hospital Staff Pass work?
Each Pass includes four tickets, color coded
by day, which can be used by any eligible staff
member on any day of the MVC (e.g., one staff
member per day; one staff member in the morning
and another in the afternoon on each day; or four
staff members on one day; etc.). Each individual
should bring that day’s ticket to the Attendee
Assistance booth after arriving on site to receive
a badge, which can be traded among attendees
throughout the day. However, because the Passes
are color coded by day (for verification purposes),
the badge is only good for one day; a new badge
must be picked up each day of attendance.
How can I purchase Hospital Staff Passes?
Use page 4 of the the technician and staff registration form (pp. 67–70) to select the number of
Passes you wish to purchase and the number of
tickets you would like for each day.
Do I need to provide names of the staff members who will be attending?
Yes, we ask that you provide a list of attendees
so we may verify that the individuals who show
up on site are authorized to attend. If you do
not know who will be attending, please list all
staff members who could potentially attend.
This list can be modified later by logging into
your online account or by contacting the OVMA
at [email protected] with your changes.

Do Hospital Staff Passes include CE verification?
The OVMA does not provide CE certificates for
hospital staff, as it is not required by law.

How many hours of CE can I obtain at the MVC?
You can earn 24 hours of CE if you elect to attend the full Conference and attend a session
during each time slot on all four days.

Should I include every session I plan to attend
when registering?
Yes. This helps the OVMA determine room
assignments based on the capacity of each
session, and it allows us to keep a record of your
CE should you need it for a future audit. If you
change your mind after registering, you will be
able to edit your selections online.
What if I forget to bring my badge to the MVC?
You may request new materials when you arrive on site by visiting the Attendee Assistance
booth. However, please be aware that there is a
$10 replacement fee for lost name badges.
How can I register for hands-on labs?
The registration form includes a section where
you may select which of these programs you
would like to attend. Please note that participation in these programs may be limited and is
awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
May technicians and staff attend DVM wet labs?
Due to limited capacities and specialized content,
these programs are restricted to veterinarians.
Will I be able to access and print notes for my
sessions prior to the Conference?
Yes. Instructions for accessing the Conference
Proceedings online will be included in your
confirmation. Please print your notes before
arriving, as there will be no printing stations on
site. If you would like a CD-ROM of the notes,
you may pick one up when you arrive on site.

When will I get my confirmation and name badge?
Confirmation packets will be mailed to preregistered attendees the week of Feb. 2, 2015.

What if I have to cancel my registration?
If personal or professional circumstances
prevent you from attending the Conference,
the OVMA will refund your registration fees
less a $50 administrative fee, provided that a
written refund request is received by mail, fax
or e-mail by 6 p.m. EST on March 14, 2015. No
refunds will be granted after this date. Handson labs are non-refundable. Refunds will not be
processed until March 15, 2015.
Can a registration be transferred?
If you are no longer able to attend, your registration may be transferred to another person on
your staff. Contact OVMA at [email protected]
prior to Feb. 5, or bring the original badge and
registration materials to the on-site registration
desk to receive a new name badge.

Where does the MVC take place?
The MVC is held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Hall C (400 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43215) and the Hyatt Regency Hotel
(350 N. High St.).
Who can register for a spouse/guest badge?
A spouse, companion, relative, friend or child
age 16 or older who is not an animal care professional may attend as a guest of a registered
attendee. Please note that CE credit confirmation
cannot be issued for this type of registration.
Who is eligible to attend the MVC?
The OVMA welcomes individuals working in all
areas of animal care, including veterinarians;
technicians; hospital staff; shelter personnel;
post-graduate residents and interns; and pre-vet,
veterinary, and technician students.

Can I purchase a pass just for the Exhibit Hall?
Yes. Exhibit Hall-only passes are available for
purchase on site; the cost is $20 per person
for a one-day pass or $40 for a three-day pass.
Children under 18 are admitted at no charge,
but they must obtain a badge upon arrival and
be accompanied by a guardian at all times.
What personal information do Exhibitors receive?
All attendee badges will be encoded with their
name, address, phone and fax numbers, organization, and e-mail address. Exhibitors obtain
this information when they scan your badge in
the Exhibit Hall. Should you prefer not to share

• VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES •
Are there any volunteer opportunities offered
to Conference attendees?
Yes. The MVC staff needs volunteers to serve as
Session Presiders for each session offered at the
Conference. Any registered attendee may volunteer as a Presider. In addition, OVMA members
are invited to volunteer as short-term “mentors”
at the Connection Corner event on Friday.
What does a Session Presider do?
Session Presiders introduce the speakers of
their selected sessions using an introduction
prepared by the MVC staff and, in the event of a
problem, assist in locating appropriate staff to
resolve A/V equipment or room issues.

Visit www.mvcinfo.org/volunteer beginning on
Dec. 1 to select the sessions you would like to
preside over or to sign up for Connection Corner.
