PARK RULES
 Dogs must be kept leashed except when
they are inside an off-leash area.
 Dogs must remain under their handler’s
control at all times.
 Dogs must remain within sight of their
handler at all times.
 Handlers must have one leash per dog.
 All dogs must be licensed and must display
dog park tags.
 Day-use permits must be with the handler.
 An attending adult must closely supervise
all children in off-leash areas.
2014 Fees
Daily Passes: $4 per dog
Annual Passes:

$20 per dog, $10 after July 1
Non-Residents
$28 per dog, $14 after July 1

 Dogs must be leashed at the first sign of
aggression or unruliness.
 Dogs in heat are not permitted in off-leash
areas
 No more than 3 dogs per handler are
permitted at one time in off-leash areas.
The Eau Claire Dog Park (otherwise known
as the Off-Leash Recreation Area) is a facility
where people may responsibly exercise their
dogs without leashes.
 Handlers must always clean up after their
dog(s) in off-leash areas.
 Handlers must observe all other applicable
ordinances, rules and regulations.
 Dogs declared dangerous animals under
city code section 6.08.045, or dangerous
or potentially dangerous dogs under
State Statutes are not allowed in
off-leash areas.
TIPS FOR ENJOYING
THE
DOG PARK
 Bring ample water for your dog(s).
While the park is part of the Eau Claire City
Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department, it is
also supported by a community group that
promotes, improves, and helps maintain the
facility.
If you are interested in joining this group or
learning more about what we do, please feel
free to attend our next meeting. Check our
website at www.ecdogpark.com for the time
and date of our next meeting.
 Do not bring food or dog toys into the area.
They may create a conflict.
 Do not bring glass containers into an
off-leash area.
 Vaccinate dogs by the recommendation of
your veterinarian.
 Extend common courtesy to all other users.
The Recreation area is intended to
provide a place for you and your pet
to socialize with others.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABLITY
Acceptance of the terms and conditions of this release and adherence to Off-leash Recreation Area Rules are conditions of permit
approval, retention and renewal. Permits may be revoked for noncompliance.
I hereby acknowledge that I voluntarily have applied to participate and use, with my dog(s), the Eau Claire Off-leash Recreation Area
designated by the City of Eau Claire and Eau Claire Parks and Recreation. I understand that the acts of unleashing my dog(s) or being
physically present inside the recreation area necessarily involves risks of injury to me, other people, my dog(s) and other dogs, including but not
limited to, risks resulting from aggressive or dangerous dogs, unpredictable behavior, lack of training, and lack of vaccination. I expressly
assume these risks and responsibility for the actions of my dog(s) and myself. I understand that no agent or employee of the City will supervise
the recreation area at any time. I further understand and agree that the City is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury of any kind sustained by
any human or dog while using the recreation area. I therefore expressly assume all risks associated with using the recreation area, as well as
any fixtures or equipment located therein.
By signing this release of liability and using the recreation area, I hereby fully and
forever release and discharge the City and their employees and agents from any and all
claims, demands, damages, or causes of action present or future, whether the same be
known, anticipated or unanticipated, resulting from or arising out of my intended use of
said recreation area premises, facilities, or equipment.
I have carefully read this release of liability and understand, agree with, and accept its
terms and conditions. I have received and will abide by the rules of the recreation area.
