students to discuss various aspects of development and
management of novel delivery systems including regulatory issues
and business aspects. Topics like Quality by design and PAT
would also be deliberated.
Poster sessions while showcasing research in various aspects of
drug delivery, would provide a forum for interaction between
faculty, delegates and students.
Controlled Release Society (CRS Inc) with over 4000 members
worldwide is global scientific society. It is an international
organization for the promotion and development of novel drug
delivery systems, with the headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
and liaison offices in Geneva, Switzerland and Kawasaki, Japan. The
Indian Local Chapter of Controlled Release Society (CRSIC) was
established in 1994 with headquarters at PERD Centre, Ahmedabad
and regional office at SciTech Centre, Jogeshwari, Mumbai. It is
nd
recognized as the 2 most active chapter amongst the nineteen local
nd
chapters of CRS Inc. At the 32 Annual Meeting of CRS Inc. in Vienna,
Austria the CRSIC was awarded a special certificate of recognition for
outstanding service to CRS Inc. The mission of CRSIC is to
promote
education,
create awareness and to encourage scientific
research towards the creation of intellectual wealth in the area of drug
delivery systems in India. CRSIC regularly organizes workshops and
international symposia with a focus on advances in technology and
business potential of novel drug delivery systems.
SYMPOSIUM HIGHLIGHTS
Scientific Session:
Speakers would present recent developments
in
drug
delivery
systems,
highlight materials science and
engineering, the cellular and biological response to materials, the
response
of various formulations to materials, and the translational
considerations, with a common focus on the controlled delivery of active
agents.
Poster Session: Young Scientists will have an opportunity to present a
concise overview of their research study. The posters will provide a
platform for discussion a forum to exchange ideas and ample
opportunity for networking.
Oral Presentations: Posters with high scientific caliber will be selected
for oral presentations.
Technology Showcase: The "Technology Showcase" would highlight
recent developments in excipients drug delivery technologies, process
and analytical equipments while providing opportunity to companies to
showcase their products to professionals specializing in drug
delivery, delegates would have benefit of being updated with the
state of art information.
