Thereafter the President addressed the gathering lauding the high degree of professionalism and valour, of the Indian soldiers against extremely daunting odds during WWI. ADVISORY FROM PRINCIPAL IFA(ARMY) ISSUES RELATING TO DGS & D PROCUREMENT • Vendor Selection Board should keep in mind performance of vendors in supplying stores before recommending them. • Non appearance of vendors before the vendor selection board should not make them ineligible for consideration as it infringes with the Government approved system. • The recommendation of vendor selection board shall be based on price competitiveness with highest technical specifications. • Items which have been declared BER should be procured as and when next DGS & D rate contract is available. • Proposals to be sent to IFA atleast 15 days before the expiry of the Rate Contract period for objective assessment. 20 Baatcheet Feb-Mar 2015
