Society Scientific Sessions Program
Committee. This event is neither sponsored

This event does qualify for continuing
medical education (CME) credit.
Pericardial Intervention in
Cardiac Electrophysiology:
Evolving Strategies and Outcomes
OBJECTIVES
• Describe advances in the application
of energy delivery during AF ablation
• Critically appraise the techniques
and potential complications of various
percutaneous and minimally invasive
approaches to accessing the
pericardial space
• Assess efficacy, safety, and
complications with epicardial
VT ablation
• Explain the role of EKG and clinical
factors which would suggest
epicardial access should guide
ablation procedures and increase
success rates
FACULT Y DISCLOSURE
The Cleveland Clinic Foundation
Center for Continuing Education has
implemented a policy to comply with
the current Accreditation Council for
Continuing Medical Education Standards
for Commercial Support requiring
resolution of all faculty conflicts of
interest. Faculty declaring a relevant
commercial interest will be identified
in the activity syllabus.

OVERVIEW
Percutaneous access to the pericardial space has become a valuable tool
for mapping and ablating arrhythmias. Adequate understanding of the
relevant anatomy, mapping techniques, and knowledge of different
complications is important to ensure successful and safe use of this
technique. The program will include lectures and case based decision
making sessions which will provide the most recent data, technical
advances, and their implications for clinical practice.
