About the Genesis Retreat Center If you haven't visited Genesis yet open your mind and imagine nineteen and a half acres of picturesque New England landscape which transforms as each season changes. If you have been here, you appreciate the surroundings, the gentleness and serenity as you pull into the long driveway and walk the grounds. Oaks, pines, flowering shrubs, and the 100 year old Cooper Beach Tree sit upon the land as well as numerous floral gardens, an herb garden and a vegetable garden. Scattered amongst the trees are comfortable benches and lounge chairs where you will find guests reading, enjoying the scenery of a calm and contemplative environment often finding a connection to the natural environmentally friendly surroundings. Genesis Spiritual Life and Conference Center is located in Westfield, nestled in the foothills of the Western Massachusetts Berkshire Hills, just 10 miles west of Springfield. We are within two hours of most major New England cities, mountains and sea-shores and three hours from New York City. Genesis can be reached by auto, train, bus and plane. Registration Cancellations are not refundable after March 15, 2015 however, you are welcome to find a substitute to take your place. If you do not have email, please include 2 self-addressed stamped envelopes with your registration. Scholarships up to $180 are available by lottery for members in need. You must register with a $50 deposit before 3/15/15 to be considered for a scholarship. Please ask for the minimum you need so other members can be assisted. Recipients will be notified by e-mail by 5/1/15, Deposits will be returned if scholarships are unavailable. Home meetings are encouraged to raise funds for their members in need. The Genesis Retreat Center will provide 5 healthy meals which will accommodate most OA members' food plans. If you have specific dietary needs, please bring what you need.
