21st Annual Julius B. and Edward Kuriansky
21st Annual
Julius B. and Edward Kuriansky
Memorial Golf & Tennis Outing
Proceeds from the Julius B. and Edward Kuriansky Memorial Golf and
Tennis Outing, this year celebrating its 21st anniversary, support the JCC’s
JumpStart preschool education program for children with special needs.
The only program of its kind in Fairfield County, JumpStart is a unique and progressive
early childhood experience serving children with a wide range of physical and
developmental needs. Classroom sessions strive to foster each child’s confidence,
development, and comfort level, with the goal being successful transition into a
community school program. The JCC’s early childhood development experts
encourage JumpStart students to practice emerging language and motor skills
in a safe, fun and accepting environment.
Now in its tenth year at the JCC, JumpStart students receive individual
attention with a nearly one-to-one student to teacher ratio. Professional
instructors and specially trained volunteers encourage exploration,
experimentation, problem solving and mastery of skills, to help each
child grow comfortably, learn at his or her own pace, and build a solid
educational foundation. The program is not only a developmental resource
for children, but also for their frequently overwhelmed parents.
Tuition is based on a sliding scale, and the JCC is committed to the
philosophy that no child should be denied access due to financial
hardship. With your generosity and that of the Kuriansky family,
all proceeds from FORE THE KIDS will help fund the substantial
scholarship money needed each year to allow children with
special needs to benefit from this wonderful program.
In case of inclement weather . . .
In case of heavy rain, the management of Rockrimmon Country Club will
make the determination of whether play can take place based on course conditions
and player safety. In the unfortunate event of cancellation due to inclement
weather, the JCC will make every effort to reschedule the Golf Outing.

program for two- and three-year-olds with a full range of special needs.
The JCC’s JumpStart program is the only one of its kind in Fairfield
