In today's Automotive World, we need to adopt eco-friendly technologies, enhance
safety and ensure connectivity of vehicles. This is all possible if we innovate and
collaborate to shape our products. The use of Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) has forced development speeds to unprecedented levels, and
our customers' demands continue to rise as they remain connected to easily
available information and grow increasingly knowledgeable.
Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT) is a benchmark event
organized by ARAI biennially. SIAT serves as an important forum for exchange of
ideas and brainstorming for the automotive industry. Over the years, the event has
grown in stature and is now considered as a prestigious automotive event marked
by presence of global automotive fraternity.
The forthcoming 14th Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT
2015) is scheduled at ARAI, Pune, (India) from 21st to 24th January 2015. It will
concentrate on technologies for safer, cleaner and quieter vehicles with enhanced
connectivity. It will also focus on innovative advancements in automotive
technologies to meet future challenges.
SIAT provides common platform for national & international experts to share their
thoughts and innovative ideas concerning developments in various fields of the
automotive technology. It assembles the best talent in the Automotive Industry,
who will join hands to collaborate and deliberate the current challenges to promote
the multitude of opportunities for a successful automotive industry.
SIAT EXPO 2015, being organized concurrently, offers appropriate platform to
automotive and allied companies to display their products / technologies /
innovation / services through various stalls.
I have great pleasure in bringing out this First Announcement of SIAT 2015. It
invites professionals, engineers and academicians to present their work in the field
of automotive technology in this Symposium. The Advisory Committee looks
forward to receive wholehearted support from entire Automotive & Allied
Community as in the past. I thank you for your continued patronage.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Abstracts of papers are to be sent to the Convener at [email protected] on or before Wednesday, 30th
April 2014. Abstract should be limited to maximum 300 words, emphasizing significance of analytical /
experimental study and originality of the contribution with results. Later on, the authors would be required to
submit the same abstract at http://www.sae.org/events/SIAT2015 under MyTechZone.
Abstracts will be evaluated by a Technical Paper Review Committee (TPRC). Draft manuscripts of selected
abstracts will be invited for evaluation according to SAE technical paper quality guidelines.
AUTHOR'S GUIDELINES
Technical Papers are required to follow SAE
technical paper writing guidelines as summarized
in http://volunteers.sae.org/authors.htm.
Papers accepted for publication and presentation in
SIAT 2015 will be given SAE paper numbers and
will find place in SAE database.
The contents of the paper should not have been
published elsewhere.

REFERENCE TECHNICAL BULLETIN
Reference Technical Bulletin comprising of technical articles, advertisements, etc. will be published to
commemorate SIAT 2015. It will provide an opportunity for sharing various technical advancements in
automotive technology. Technical notes, case studies, product information, etc., are invited for inclusion in this
Reference Technical Bulletin.
SIAT EXPO 2015
A grand exposition of automotive technology, products and equipment pertaining to Auto Industry, is being
organized concurrent to SIAT 2015.
The exposition will attract automotive OEMs, Tier - I, Tier - II and Tier - III suppliers, equipment providers,
CAD/CAM/CAE tool providers and other service providers to showcase their products and service
capabilities. This time over 165 exhibition stalls are available for booking.
This exposition is open to all automotive personnel and interested individuals and will be an excellent
opportunity for promotion of business and dissemination of information.
