THANK YOU - We have received thank you notes from Billie Harding (resident of Christian
Care Center), Larry Marshall, Barbara Oberg, and Codey and Malissa Rose. You can

SEAMSTRESSES NEEDED - We need adults with sewing machines to help our fifth graders sew walker bags for the residents of a local nursing home. Help is needed for three
Wednesday nights: February 4, 11, and 18. You only need to bring your sewing machine.
Everything else is provided. Please contact Shannon Bueter [email protected] or
Cheri Majors [email protected] if you are willing to help or need more information.
CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS - Contribution Statements for 2014 have been mailed to
contributors who do not have email addresses. If you have an email address, you can access your Contribution Statement through the Saturn Road website. If you need help or if
you would prefer that we mail or email your statement, please contact Robbie in the church
office, or make a note on today’s attendance card.

LADIES BIBLE CLASS – January 28 - Lesson 5, Days 3, 4, and 5
FIRST SUNDAY– A support group for women who are living with the loss of their spouse.
Join us on Sunday, February 1, at 5:00 PM in Room 203 as we meet together to support
and encourage each other.
LTC REGISTRATION - Registration forms are now available at the Information Desk in the

LTC BIBLE BOWL - All students in Grades 3-12 are invited to participate as we study the
Gospel of Luke TODAY at 10:30 AM in the Fifth Grade Portable. Come prepared to discuss chapters four through six. Parents are encouraged to attend and assist. Call or text

BABY SHOWER - All ladies are invited to a baby girl (twins) shower for Erin Anderson
TODAY from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the home of Glenda Lee, 2409 Westlake Drive, Rowlett,
TX 75088. Erin is registered at Target and Babies R Us.
LADIES RETREAT PLANNING MEETING - There will be a planning meeting for the upcoming Ladies Retreat TODAY at 4:30 PM in the church library. Please join us if you are

WINTER CLOTHING NEEDED - We are still in need of men’s coats, hats and gloves and
small blankets for the men at the Garland Day Labor Center. Please put donations in the
Hope Box in the Family Center.

The following trips are open for registration:
MS/HS Family Ski Trip – Cost varies depending on what you are doing. See the online registration for all of those details. Registration deadline is February 1 with a $100 deposit to hold
your spot. If you register with an envelope, please make sure to indicate what you will be doing.
HS Mission Trip to Nicaragua - $450, with a $100 deposit and an essay to Adam to hold your
spot. Registration deadline is February 1.
8th Grade Mission Trip - $450, with a $100 deposit to hold your spot. Registration deadline is
February 8. Please make sure you either register online or with an envelope and your deposit. You are not officially on the list until you do this, even if you indicated earlier that you would
like to go!!!
MS/HS Camp Pine Springs - $275, with a $100 deposit required to hold your spot. Registration deadline is April 12.
MS/HS Houston Impact - $175, with a $75 deposit required to hold your spot. Registration
deadline is April 26.

BIBLE SCHOLAR OF THE WEEK
Congratulations to Jerry Stettheimer! He is this week’s Bible Scholar of the Week. He was
the first to respond with the correct answer to our Bible Trivia Question which was in last
week’s online bulletin e-mail. In case you missed it, the question was, “Who said, "Have
you come in peace, you Zimri, you murderer of your master?" ” The answer was
“Jezebel.”
SYMPATHY IS EXTENDED TO
Our sympathy is extended to Neva Bench Davis and her family on the accidental death of
her four year-old granddaughter, Kaitlyn Moorehead, who died one day prior to her fifth birthday from injuries suffered when a tree fell on her. A memorial service was held on January
23. Neva is the cousin of Brenda Garritson and Clarice Segala.
Our sympathy is extended to former members, Dwayne and Cathy Wheeler, and their family
on the sudden passing of their eldest daughter, Wendy Wheeler Miller, on January
18. Graveside service were January 23 in Van, TX.
