ishop Marcus has asked Father Timothy
Swinglehurst to work in the Parish of the
Holy Redeemer on a part-time basis, to assist
Father Ian & Father Chris in their ministry to
the parish.
He will take up this position after Easter,
alongside his other work for the diocese as
Episcopal Vicar for Evangelisation & Education.

BAPTISM PREPARATION CLASSES
he next Baptism Preparation Classes will be
held in the parish on Tuesdays 17, 24
February & 3 March in the Upper Room (at the
back of St. Patrick’s Church) with each session
starting at 7.35pm.
All parents must attend suitable preparatory
classes before their child is baptised, and before a
Baptism can be booked. So, if you wish to enrol
please contact the Parish Office by email to
[email protected] or by calling
531483 during office hours.
When booking the information we require is:

ASH WEDNESDAY 2015
his year, Ash Wednesday - the beginning of
the season of Lent - falls on Wednesday 18
February and as usual there will be Masses
across the parish with the distribution of ashes.
Masses will be held at 9.30am in St. Patrick’s,
Our Lady of Lourdes and Holy Family Churches
and at 12.15pm & 7pm in St. Patrick’s Church.
There will not be a Mass at HRI on that
Wednesday.
The Parish Clergy look forward to seeing as
many parishioners as possible start their Lenten
journey for 2015.

Rosso,
Rosso who spent time here as a student, will
be ordained to the priesthood in Florida - where
he has been caring for his sick mother - so
Bishop Marcus will be travelling to the USA to
ordain Tony for our diocese.
There are still envelopes for parishioners to offer
a gift to Tony in recognition of his ordination as
a priest for our diocese.
Please return the envelope either in the offertory
collection bag, to the Parish Office or to any of
the Parish Team. Any cheques should be made
out to the parish - not to Tony!
Please hand in your gift TODAY (Sunday 25
January.)
Both Fr. Ian and Fr. Chris will attending the
ordination, so there will be a change in the
weekday Mass rota later this week and early next

SVP DISTRICT RACE NIGHT 2015
he 2015 Huddersfield & Dewsbury District
SVP Council Race Night will take place on
Friday 6 February at the Huddersfield Irish
Centre, Fitzwilliam Street.
Proceeds from this event, which will start at
7.30pm, will go to provide holidays and outings
