Every year we celebrate Catholic
Education in our schools. This year the
theme encompasses several concepts
that are at the heart of a Catholic
education. First, schools are communitiessmall families in their own right, but also
members of the larger community of
home, church, city and nation. Faith,
knowledge and service are three measures by which any
Catholic School can and should be judged. We begin our
celebration at the 10:30 am Mass on Sunday, January 25th.
We celebrate family with Grandparents Day on Tuesday,
January 27th and those interested in all we accomplish here
at St. Apollinaris School are welcome to our Open House on
Thursday, January 29th at 7pm. We will close this week of
Catholic Education Celebration with our annual Crab Feed
on Sat, January 31st. Questions? Call our school office at
255-8625

SOUPERBOWL OF CARING: A simple prayer: "Lord, even
as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be
mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat" is
inspiring a youth-led movement to help hungry people
around the world. Souper Bowl of Caring is dedicated to
tackling issues that exist in our own community: poverty,
hunger & homelessness. DID YOU KNOW? Nearly 50
Million Americans live in poverty? Or that 1 in 6 Americans
face hunger every day? Well...you can help! Next weekend
is the Annual SOUPERBOWL of Caring and our youth will
be outside after the masses. They are asking everyone to
donate to help tackle hunger here in Napa! Imagine if
