A Global Supply Chain Solutions Company
Building on Our Past, Creating Our Future
WESCO is an industry-leading Fortune 500 supply chain solutions company
with a strong portfolio of businesses and a high performance, continuous
improvement culture.
We are a customer-driven organization focused on serving three demand
streams: MRO indirect products and services; OEM direct materials and
value-added assemblies; and capital projects, both new construction as
well as retrofits, renovations, and upgrades.
WESCO was formed in 1922 as the captive distribution arm of
Westinghouse Electric and became an independent company in
1994. Since then we’ve shifted from a pure play electrical distributor
participating almost exclusively in the non-residential construction market
to a diversified, global supply chain management company serving the
industrial, construction, utility, and commercial/institution/government
markets.
Our value proposition is founded on extra effort and solutions that satisfy
the complex challenges you face every day. Your challenges are our
opportunities, and we look forward to exceeding your expectations.
One WESCO is an ongoing initiative that integrates our products,
services, and supplier relationships into comprehensive supply
chain management solutions for our customers and their
operations around the world. Our goal is always to work
effectively across all boundaries to provide you with a full
range of products, services, and solutions that keep your
business running in top form and help you stay ahead of the
competition.
John J. Engel, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
is Focused on
Your Needs Every Day
A Continuous Improvement Culture
Lean is the foundation of our operational excellence strategy
and we apply it both inside and outside our company.
Since 2003, we have used Lean initiatives across our entire
business enterprise, from front-end sales and marketing, to
back-end product delivery, customer service, and support to
improve processes that allow us to offer more efficient service
to our customers.
We offer our Lean expertise to our customers to help them
improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their operations
and supply chains. We have conducted more than 5,000 Kaizen
events to date and consider Lean to be a never-ending quest for
perfection.

Pennsylvania, USA, WESCO has more than 9,200 employees
who serve customers from more than 475 branches and service
locations in North America and around the world.
WESCO continues to grow, opening branches in new locations
and making acquisitions that expand our global footprint and
add new product and service offerings to our portfolio.

added within the last five years. Our last nine acquisitions have
doubled our Canadian business, established a solid business
base in South America, and expanded our global footprint.
