Wellness Center Staff is required to instruct
participants in the essentials of a safe and effective
wellness program and oversee the safety of all
individuals utilizing the Wellness Center. Participants
include youth, teens, and adults. Wellness Center Staff
is required to have American Red Cross certification in
CPR/AED/First Aid training, a degree in health &
fitness or related field and a national personal training
or equivalent certifications preferred but not required.
Good verbal and written communication skills are
necessary along with the ability to work independently.
Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to provide
wellness support to members of all ages and abilities.
Massage Therapist will provide massages for YMCA
members and program participants. Scheduling and
recruitment of new clients, accurate record keeping,
and ordering of massage supplies. Must be licensed,
certified, and up to date with current practices within
the field of massage. Must be able to have positive
interactions with individuals of all backgrounds.
Personal Trainer Certification, degree in health & fitness
or related field and CPR/AED/First Aid training
preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills
are needed. Ability to conduct Fitness Assessments.
Ability to work independently. Must be proficient &
knowledgeable with experience and ability to develop
and implement an individualized approach to exercise
leadership for those that are healthy and/or medically
cleared to exercise.
Background in health & wellness preferred but not
required. Must be able to have positive interactions with
individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels. Will
provide cardiovascular and strength orientations for
members and training on proper use of equipment. Also,
responsible for creating a safe and clean environment.

routines appropriate for a wide range of participants.
Must obtain required certifications.
Wellness Coach will be responsible for providing
support, motivation, and safety for all participants
utilizing the Personal Fitness Program. Coach will
develop and monitor cardiovascular, strength training
and flexibility exercises. Verbal and written
communication skills and the ability to work
independently are necessary. Understanding of
physical education and exercise and the ability to work
with “beginning/deconditioned” individuals of all ages
in a positive and supportive manner.

The Women’s Fitness Center (WFC) Coordinator is
responsible for the daily operation of the Fitness
Center, supervises, hires, trains and evaluates the
massage therapists and desk staff, oversees the
cleanliness of the WFC and responsible for inventory of
supplies and equipment. Also, schedules massages and
executes all paperwork in recording the massages
given and coordinates corporate massage
sites. Qualifications include supervisory skills,
experience coordinating office operations, customer
service skills, excellent communication skills and
computer skills.
