We are looking forward to the start of the 2015 season, please read through as there are
several new incentives, new ideas, new formulas and new faces, Shawn Mason is joining
us, he will be looking after the Banger scene.
If you haven’t sent your licence form back to the Stadium please do ASAP as it makes it easier at the
pit gate if you are already licensed. If you have already sent it and it is all complete, it will be at the Pit
Gate for you to collect on your first meeting.
All formula practice day on Sunday 22nd February 10-30am until 4pm.

1300 Saloons, GT Hot Rods, Micro Bangers, MD Hot Rods, Junior Bangers,

Tyre Testing

The Drivers will not be able to use them on Championship events and also Gold Roof Qualifying rounds, they
will be awarded prize money & Trophies where applicable, and will be granted average points on the meeting
when they are tyre testing.
ORCi Directive.
It is now mandatory for all drivers to wear a fireproof balaclava.
And all cars must have a non return valve on the fuel tank breather pipe.
Bangers
We welcome Shawn Mason on to our team. Shawn will be looking at all aspects of the Banger racing and has
already brought in some new ideas. He can be contacted on 07816 469582 for all queries about Bangers.
A Micro Banger Euro Championship to be held on Sunday 11th October, there are 3 qualifying rounds as listed
below. There will also be a separate season long point’s championship for the Micro bangers, with the first
meeting on March 1st.
Looking forward to August Bank Holiday Monday 31st August, the first race for Bangers on the day will be an
exclusive reunion race for drivers who raced at Boston; (you can then race in the rest of the meeting along with
the rest of the cars).
Cars permitted for the Boston Era Bangers include, Triumph, Mark 3 Granada, Cortina, Saab, Cressida, Laurel,
A60, Capri, Sierra, Rover P6, Land Crab and other similar cars which raced at Boston up to a 2.5 litre limit.
Larger cars NOT permitted include mark 1 and 2 Granada, big Volvo’s, Rover SDI etc.

There will be special awards of £50 for the rarest & smartest cars.

We have re-introduced the buying car policy, where the Promotion can buy a Rookie Banger (less safety
equipment, Manifold, Carb.) for £200. If a Driver refuses then the same rule applies where if a part is not left
for checking, the Driver is deemed to be illegal and will be subject to a BOC.
Fireproof balaclavas are now mandatory and must be marked accordingly.

New for 2015 we have a “Try before You Buy” 1300 Saloon for 4hire.
If you have always wanted to have a go at racing then this is for you. A days racing for less than
£200 !!!
£150 includes the use of the 1300 Saloon Stock Car , Overalls, Helmet and all safety gear for the

A new sponsorship deal for 1300 Saloons for 2015 for the White, Yellow, and Blue graded drivers only.
Points scored over all meetings at Skegness Stadium (single points) also the National Series away rounds
(double points) count towards the prize of £100 for the
highest white, yellow, blue graded driver.
In addition the highest overall Buxton registered driver
scoring at Skegness will also receive £100. ( the grade
you hold when you first make an appearance on track will
be the points scored), i.e. start as a yellow top score all
season in yellow grade regardless of grades attained.

We are pleased to announce that Giddys Embroidery Service will be sponsoring a new series for
Junior Rods.
The winner will be the driver who gets the most top 10 finishes (places 4-7) without getting a top 3
placing, up to and including the 25th October.
There will be an annual trophy, as well as a trophy for the driver to keep, along with a voucher for an
embroidered shirt, all of which will be presented at the Winternationals meeting.
