KNOWLEDGE, SKILS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Knowledge of nursing prescripts and procedures. Knowledge of Health prescripts. Problem solving skills KEY PERFOMENCES AREAS: To render quality nursing care in accordance with the scope of practice as laid down by the nursing act and to contribute to optimal health care under the supervision of a professional nurse. Monitor vital signs and observe reaction to medication and treatment in the Clinic. Promote and maintain Hygiene, comfort and reassurance of patients. Supervise and maintain fluid balance. Apply infection control measures. Identify nutritional need of patient with assistance of a senior nurse. Maintain accurate patient’s records and statistics in the clinic.. Assess the basic self‐care needs of patient. Provide health education according to knowledge and scope of practice of an enrolled nurse. Co‐ordinate, organize and control therapeutic activities, personnel and equipment under the supervision of a registered nurse. Maintain and improve quality in the Clinic Order stock and equipment in a cost effective manner. Report loss or damage immediately.
