ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Karpagam charity trust was promoted in the
year 1989 by Dr.R.Vasantha Kumar B.E.
(Hons), D.Sc. Chairman and Managing
Trustee, with the vision to serve and to lead
the society by imparting quality based
education as the mission. Karpam College of
Engineering started in the year 2000
affiliated to ANNA University, Chennai. It
is an autonomous institution with an
enterprising management, which directs all
its effort towards producing proficient
products who are trained to tower
knowledge and character.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of ETE was started in
2011, has qualified faculty members, wellequipped with state of the art equipment to
explore the technological challenges in the
area of DSP, VLSI, Electron Devices,
MEMS, Communication systems, RF and
Microwave Engineering, Microprocessors
and Microcontrollers, Networks and
simulation . The main objective of the
department is to produce talented and
zealous Electronics and Telecommunication
Engineers to satisfy the industrial needs.
THE OBJECTIVE
The aim of the workshop is to equip and
strengthen the students with the knowledge
and skills in VLSI field. By the end of this
workshop the participants will be aware of
the future scope in VLSI field. Participants
can write their own programs in all the
levels of modeling in both HDL languages.
The main objective of this workshop is
student participant will be confident of
doing their own projects in VLSI field and
exploit the opportunities in VLSI.
