Photo: Nigel Millard Each year, around 8,000 people are saved by its brave volunteers, who willingly place themselves in danger to save others. Show, by your generosity, that public servants care to help provide the best training, equipment and lifeboats to keep them safe. Registered in England and Wales (248421) and Scotland (SC041904). NOW - AND IN THE FUTURE The Communications and Public Service Lifeboat Fund (The Lifeboat Fund) is a registered charity that exists solely to help the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) save lives at sea. The Fund is a public service charity supported by serving and retired employees of the Civil Service, the Royal Mail and British Telecom. Since 1866, The Fund has provided a special way for public servants to show support for the RNLI’s brave volunteers. We are proud to hold our position as the charity’s single largest regular contributor. The Fund has purchased a total of 52 lifeboats for our benefactor; these boats have saved over 4,700 lives. Why leave a legacy? The RNLI continues to rely on voluntary contributions and legacies for its income. Legacies fund six out of ten lifeboat launches. The Lifeboat Fund wants to support this vital and selfless work beyond the span of its annual appeals. If you would like to help us support the lifesavers for years to come, please consider leaving The Lifeboat Fund a gift in your Will. How to leave a legacy Please contact The Lifeboat Fund’s Secretary, Angela Saunders, c/o Scottish Government; 0131 244 8488: [email protected] who will ensure you receive any advice you require about making or updating a Will and about the value of this support. Angela can send you a free legacy pack produced by the RNLI. She will be pleased to help. Thank you - from The Lifeboat Fund and from our beneficiary, the RNLI.
