Strawberry Tea - Canterbury Women's Club

You are cordially invited to the
2015
Strawberry Tea
CWC’s traditional opening event for the year on
Thursday February 12th at 5pm – 7pm
at Kate Sheppard House and Garden
83 Clyde Road, Ilam (between University of Canterbury Arts Road
and Creyke Road)
Di Lucas, Landscape Architect, twice awarded New Zealand’s
premier landscape planning award, will talk on –
Our Garden City - Its Future?
Christchurch City is currently in transition and people are
engaged in visioning the future of this place. City planners and
gardeners are integrating their backgrounds and assumptions
with the new challenges that are raised by our waters, indigenous
flora and wildlife, to provide new expressions of identity and
heritage in our post-quake city.
We are hoping that it might be possible for a member of the
CCC Urban Design team to respond to Di’s talk prior to any
questions from the floor.
Note: This event will be one of the last public gatherings at Kate Sheppard
House & Garden before it closes permanently at the end of April 2015.
