Ladies’ Ministry
In our Ladies’ Ministry, WinGS, for 2015, let this be our
year to “FLY.” Like the butterfly, let us be transformed
through involvement, service, and fellowship. With
M&M’s representing “meditate & memorize,” search the
scriptures and engrave them on your heart. Our focus
word for January is TRUTH. Our M&M’s are Jeremiah
29:11 and Psalm 25:4-5. Meditate & Memorize (M&M)
these scriptures as they apply to the TRUTH that God
reveals to us through His word.
Cookies for Christian Manor
An opportunity to FLY (serve) is to bake cookies for the
residents of Christian Manor for a Valentine’s Day treat.
Please bring your cookies Sunday, February 8. There will
be a table designated for them in the back lobby. We will
bag and distribute the cookies on Wednesday, February
11. Thank you for participating with WinGS.

One Heart 2015 News
Our One Heart small group home Bible studies
begin next Sunday, February 8. These take place
in individual homes and are led by various people.
There are a number of boards in the Adult Annex
Lobby with the individual leader’s name at the top.
They are available for you to sign up in one of these
groups. There is a group for singles and a women’s
group available. As is always the case, there are not
enough groups for the number of members that
need to be involved in One Heart. If you would
consider leading one of these groups, please contact
David Swanger at the office (824-6622) or by cell
(681-8461). This is an awesome ministry and a great
opportunity for outreach. We are looking forward to
another great year.
The Gift of Generosity
We thank everyone for your support of Hendersonville Church of Christ with your time, talent, and
financial contributions and look forward to support
from our members this year. If you need a convenient
way to make regular offerings or one-time offerings,
we encourage you to look into our electronic giving
options available on our website at www.hendcoc.com
and click on “Give Online.”
Services Tonight
Tonight we will meet for the evening services at 4:00
PM in the Auditorium. There will be no children’s

Whose Side Are
You On?
Tonight two teams, the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, square off in Glendale, Arizona, in the biggest
game, the Super Bowl. Rings will be given out and trophies
will be presented. Cash will be awarded to the players according to who wins and who loses. Glory will be given, as
well as bragging rights being the best football team in the
world for another year.
There is a greater struggle being waged, even as we worship this morning, the struggle between good and evil. The
Christian life is compared to the sports world. The Bible
even pictures the Christian life as a boxing match, a race,
and a wrestling match.
Tonight a victor will be crowned. Celebration will follow and many will revel in the glory of their team’s success. However, after the confetti has been cleaned up and
the teams return home, the pursuit of another temporary
crown resumes.
There is another victory that has been celebrated for thousands of years, a victory that was secured on the cross of Calvary. This victory over sin bridged the gap between man and
God and gives the blessed hope of an eternal home with our
Heavenly Father.
I do not know which team will win tonight, but I am forever grateful for the victory that Jesus purchased for me.
The question we must answer is “Whose side are you on, the
cross or the world?”
Drew Crosby, Pulpit Minister

Room in the Inn Ministry
We continue our need for innkeepers. Please sign up
on the board in the back lobby if you can help. Being
an innkeeper is simple: stay the night with the men and
be available if they need you. You will be out by 6:00
a.m. Monday, in plenty of time to be at work. If you are
retired, it is a simple way of being a blessing to others.
Sign Club
The Sign Club is collecting shoe boxes and old Christmas
cards to be used in projects. If you have these items you
can donate, please place them in the red box in the back
lobby or the shopping cart in the front lobby.
