Who are we? NADSFL, the National Association of District Supervisors of Foreign Language, and NCSSFL, the National Council of State Supervisors for Languages, are non-profit, professional organizations for leaders in World Language education. NADSFL’s members are district coordinators from across the country, working with thousands of teachers and a wide variety of language programs. NCSSFL’s membership includes leaders at the he state level who work with coordinators, teachers, administrators, and other stake holders in language education. When do we meet? NADSFL and NCSSFL hold annual conferences in conjunction with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL) FL) convention in November each year. The two organizations hold their meetings Tuesday through Thursday before the ACTFL convention begins on Friday. NADSFL and NCSSFL hold separate meetings and come together for meals, breaks, and social events. events Sponsors make these joint events possible. Why should you sponsor NADSFL/NCSSFL? The members of NADSFL and NCSSFL are responsible for curriculum, materials, professional development, assessment, and other components of world language programs. They make decisions and have purchasing power at the district and state levels. They make re recommendations commendations to schools, teachers, and administors regarding materials and program design.
