About This Release
Corporate Energy Management refers to sets of actions that move accountability for energy outcomes to all
levels of the firm. With CEM, energy is no longer the sole responsibility of plant managers and engineers; in fact,
CEM programs are designed to involve many areas of business activity, such as accounting, marketing, and
others that were not traditionally concerned with energy. Bringing all related functions of a company into the
picture helps to ensure that enterprisewide opportunities are explored.
CEM 2014 R2 (version 2.1) brings several new capabilities and improvements to existing functionality:
 Full support for Application Server redundancy.
 New Demand Attribute in the CEM Meter object template
 Simpler mechanism for calculations for virtual and delta meters.
 After extensive and thorough testing periods with new test cases, CEM 2014 R2 is the most robust
version of CEM ever.
This document contains important information about CEM 2014 R2. Review this document for installation
requirements and known issues.

Introduction
This section describes the hardware and software system requirements for installing Wonderware® Corporate
Energy Management 2014 R2.
Hardware Requirements
CEM 2014 R2 is supported on all hardware requirements that are supported by Wonderware Application Server
2014 R2 and Wonderware InTouch 2014 R2. Refer to Wonderware Application Server 2014 R2 Readme and

Software Requirements
The following requirements and compatibilities must be met for the proper operation of Wonderware® Corporate
Energy Management 2014 R2.
The CEM Application Objects component represents the base features of CEM, and include the Templates
you will derive in the ArchestrA IDE. This component requires Wonderware Application Server 2012 R2,

Intelligence 2012 extensions.
The CEM Data Edition Tools component installs a set of web pages to the Wonderware Information Server
(WIS) in order to edit data in the CEM database, and must be installed on a machine running WIS 2012
R2, 2014, or 2014 R2.
The CEM Reports component installs a set of report templates for Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
which are hosted within WIS. This feature requires WIS (with reporting) 2012 R2, 2014, or 2014 R2.

Resolved Issues
 Table showing converstion of energy in various units in the Energy Consumption by Period report is
wrong. Affects all reports showing the same table. (L00127736)
 Issue when uploading XML data for an offline meter whose recording interval is more than 9 hours
(L00129055) (SR 103129786)
 Import of offline values via XML crashes and is much too slow when running. (L00130105) (L00133447)
(SR 45710774)
 View crash with Modal graphic on top of CEM_SummaryDisplay (L00133400) (L00131773) (SR
103131683)
 Total for Virtual Meters stopped calculating, showing blank in report (L00133401) (SR 46410183)
 Importing offline values causes aaEngine memory leak (L00133402) (SR 46810456)
 RollOver and ROC do not work as expected (L00133403) (SR 37510535)
 Updating Units for Meter Type in Units section of CEM Configurator does not apply to Meter objects
(L00126664) (SR 103128521)
 CEM Reports daily averages are wrong when the report end date is set to the current day (L00131062)
 Total for Virtual Meters stopped calculating, showing blank in report (L00128982) (SR 46410183)
 Unable to install CEM Reports 2.0 without bootstrap on a WIS 5 node (L00129718) (SR 24516147)
Known Issues
 CEM Server regional settings must be set to "English (United States)" (L00132794)
 Hierarchy structure can only be modified from GR node. User cannot modify hierarchy structure if
connected Galaxy is on a remote system (122309)
 Virtual / Delta meters are not supported in Events (L00135080)
 Whenever a physical meter reading is inserted in the database, any associated virtual / delta meter
values are also calculated. Since those dependent values may not be available at the same time, reports
may display different values when reexecuted. (L00135310)
 Some Operating System / SQL Server version combinations may cause SQL Server Reporting Services
(SSRS) compatibility issues when using Internet Explorer 10 and 11. When this occurs, the Report
Loading Symbol displays constantly. Run Internet Explorer in Compatibility mode to avoid this issue.
(L00135310)
 After migrating to CEM 2.1 or after importing a hierarchy from a XML file, should save the hierarchy by
clicking the Apply button in the CEM Configurator object. This is needed to propagate hierarchy
information to runtime. (L00135310)
