TERMS AND CONDITIONS - Goodlife Health Clubs

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The 12 Week Challenge commences February 14, 2015 (February 13 in city clubs). Entries close
February 28. Any entries after the start date of the Challenge will forfeit any value in materials
or services which are released between date of purchase and start of Challenge date. The $199
registration fee is non-refundable other than by circumstances that would deem you unable to
participate in at least one of the 12 Week Challenge provisions (seminars, group training sessions,
measurements).
You must be at least 16 years of age before entering into the 12 Week Challenge. Members of the
Goodlife staff are allowed to enter but are not eligible for any of the member prizes. Competitors
may not use ephedrine-based supplements or strength enhancing drugs, unless prescribed by a
physician for a medical condition.
Goodlife Health Clubs reserve the right to interpret the rules and, if necessary, to amend the rules
at its sole discretion and without notice to the individual competitors.
Rules and regulations of the judging criteria and exercise rules must be followed or there will be
reason for disqualification from judging. Rule interpretations and all judging decisions are final.
All information and materials submitted by entrants into the 12 Week Challenge become the sole
and exclusive property of Goodlife Health Clubs. All entrants’ details will remain confidential and
will not be disclosed without written permission.
The individuals featured in promotional material throughout Goodlife Health Clubs achieved
extraordinary results; these are not “typical results”. Their photos represent examples of what can
be achieved through a systematic application of exercise, nutrition, supplementation and goal
setting. As individuals differ, so do their results, even when using the same program. Submission
of an entry form in the 12 Week Challenge constitutes your acceptance of these rules, regulations,
policies and registration.
TRANSFORMATION
The “Results Guarantee” applies to all participants who meet the minimum criteria of the 12 Week
Challenge, including attendance at all group training sessions, participation in all three scheduled
measurement sessions and completion of the interactive pages of the Challenger Guide. If you
are unable to attend the first measurement date at your nominated club it will be rescheduled
at the convenience of your club Fitness Director to ensure your measurements are recorded for
appropriate tracking.
There will be one male and one female winner selected from each club. These winners will then
go into the running for the overall male and female winners for their state (QLD, VIC, NSW,
SA, WA Goodlife Health Clubs). These winners will be judged for the National male and female
category. To determine the winners for the Transformation 12 Week Challenge final scoring will
be based on: Before and after photos - 50%; Measurement improvements - 30%; Final essay 10%; Food diary submission/group training session attendance - 10%. If you are genuinely unable
to participate in the group training sessions due to inflexible work or personal commitments, you
are able to participate in one of the Group Fitness classes offered at your club. If this alternate
option suits your requirements, you will need to obtain a signature confirming your attendance
by the Group Fitness instructor. All challenge competitors must attend all three measurement
sessions as set out in this manual.
Use of an app to track your food intake, such as MyFitnessPal, is an optional component of the
12 Week Challenge. Apps of this nature are owned and operated by third parties and,
as such, Goodlife takes no responsibility for your use of the app or any resulting
consequences. In the event that you have any questions regarding nutrition,
Goodlife suggests that you seek medical advice.

VIDEO & SCORECARD
Each Friday at midday AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) a video with a Workout of the
Week (WOW) will be published online. The video will outline how the WOW must be completed
and what the rules are. A Scorecard with these same rules will be produced by your club and
used and formally witnessed by an approved Goodlife Personal Trainer by way of signature.
The Scorecard must be submitted by Friday midday (AEST) the following week - exactly seven
days after the video has been published. Any Scorecard submitted after this time, or without an
appropriate approval, will not be ranked against other participants.
RANKING
Each week, the submitted Scorecards will be consolidated into a leaderboard, ranking all the
participants from your state. There will be six categories per state; Female Member Standard,
Female Member Novice, Male Member Standard, Male Member Novice, Female Staff and Male
Staff. The top spot will be given to the best score in each category per state (eg: fastest time,
most reps completed, most weight lifted). Ranks will then be filtered down the table until all
submitted scores have received a rank. A non-submitted score will be awarded a rank one point
lower than the lowest submitted score. Scores that are equivalent to another score (eg: a draw)
will receive the same rank, however ranks below will be skipped (eg: if two participants receive a
ranking of one, then the second place score will receive a ranking of three).
WINNERS
There will be one male and one female winner from each state (WA, SA, VIC, NSW, QLD). There
will be one male and one female staff winner from each state (WA, SA, VIC, NSW, QLD). In order
to determine the winner, the weekly rankings will be added up for each person. By totalling the
weekly WOW ranks, each participant will be given an overall score. To ensure correct technique,
the top three from each region for each week may be required to provide video evidence and
submit for the following week’s WOW. The person with the lowest overall score, or rank, will be put
in the number one position. Selected states may host a finals system for top ranked challengers
after all 12 WOW’s to determine their winner, this is known as a WOW off.
