You must meet a kitten before you can go through the adoption counseling process. Cats or kittens under medical treatment are not eligible to be seen by the public until they are through with their medication and are no longer showing signs of illness. For more information, and a complete list of CAT’s adoption policies please visit catadoptionteam.org/adopt. Once you have met and decided on a kitten(s) and/or momma, you must complete the adoption paperwork with an adoption counselor and pre-pay the full amount same day unless the shelter is closed. If the shelter is closed then you must complete the adoption process at opening of the next business day. This pre-adopts the kitten(s) for you. Once the kittens are a healthy 8 weeks of age and at least 2 pounds, they will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated. You will be contacted by the foster parent when this appointment date is set. On the day of surgery, you will need to pick up your kitten(s) from the shelter between 4 pm- 6:30 pm unless otherwise arranged.
