The Crisis in Child Protection Conference Hosted by the Division of Social Work at the University of Huddersfield, in collaboration with the Centre for Active and Ethical Learning. Many statutory and voluntary services are implicated in historical abuse issues and are unclear how they can move forward. Families and young people have been neglected, abused and abandoned. This will explore the contextual debates with some of the leading thinkers, practitioners and researchers in the UK. The regional conference which is aimed at professionals who are responsible for the welfare and protection of children, will include a number of talks delivered by the speakers outlined below, as well the opportunity to debate and ask questions.
