They are Lawrence Lam from Team Extreme and Consuelo Gomez from Team Extreme. Conquistador of the Week is a program we have here at Arroyo Seco to honor students who exhibit the highest standards in both academic excellence and citizenship. Each week, one boy and one girl will be selected to represent Arroyo Seco as our "Conquistadore of the Week". These outstanding students will be called to the office for special recognition and given beautiful personalized certificates. Their names will be announced on CNN, posted on the marquee in the front of the school, and printed in the Daily Bulletin. Their photos will be hung in the front office for the week they are recognized. Congratulations to Mari Stoddard and Brandon Barrientos, our winners of our exciting program, the No Tardy Party. Mari and Brandon have perfect attendance with no absences or tardies. They will each receive a certificate for $3.00 to spend on goodies at the student store. Keep up the good work. Seco Chess Club!! This is a digitalized picture of your entire 8th grade class. See one of your team teachers for an order form or stop by the ASB office. Please turn your order forms in to the ASB office by Feb. 20th. Don't miss this milestone moment! Get your order forms in before the deadline! Hey Seco! Remember to sign up tomorrow in Room 401 for the Love Soccer Tournament. Your teams must have 10 players including 2 girls. Please have your entire team ready at sign – ups. Only the first 4 teams will get to play, so sign up quickly! Students who are eligible for the BMX show will be on a list in front of 401 and at the ASB window. The BMX show is this Friday, February 20th! You will come to school at the regular time but instead of going to your E period, you will check in at the MPR. Be prepared for an awesome show!! On Tuesday, February 24th, our school will be taking part in a lock-down drill. This schoolwide drill will begin with a public announcement through-out campus. The drill is scheduled to begin at approximately 12:15 PM. At that time, students and staff will proceed with a lockdown as a precaution to a fictional threat taking place on our campus.
