They are Taye-Jon Johnson-Cook from Team Aloha and Chloe Lambert from Team Aloha. Conquistador of the Week is a program we have here at Arroyo Seco to honor students who exhibit the highest standards in both academic excellence and citizenship. Each week, one boy and one girl will be selected to represent Arroyo Seco as our "Conquistadores of the Week". These outstanding students will be called to the office for special recognition and given beautiful personalized certificates. Their names will be announced on CNN, posted on the marquee in the front of the school, and printed in the Daily Bulletin. Their photos will be hung in the front office for the week they are recognized. Congratulations to Anneka Van Aken and Arian Timnak, our winners of our exciting program, the No Tardy Party. Anneka and Arian have perfect attendance with no absences or tardies. They will each receive a certificate for $3.00 to spend on goodies at the student store. Keep up the good work. Attention 8th grade students! It's time to order your Panoramic Picture! This is a digitalized picture of your entire 8th grade class. See one of your team teachers for an order form or stop by the ASB office. Please turn your order forms into the ASB office as soon as possible. Don't miss this milestone moment! Get your order forms in immediately!!! 8th grade honor society officers Applications for 8th grade honor society officers were distributed at lunchtime meeting on Friday, February 20th. If you missed out on this opportunity, please see Mrs. Tracy in room 302 for an application. All essays for this application process are due to Mrs. Tracy in room 302 by Friday, February, 27th. (please disregard the date on the original application). Officer names will be posted on CNN on Tuesday, March 3rd. Submit your essay today! Information regarding volunteer service hours can also be picked up in Mrs. Tracy's classroom. Cosmos Club Today Do you love learning about our place in space? Do the cosmos fascinate you? If so, come to room 902 today at lunch and be a part of the cosmos club? We will watch an episode of Cosmos each week, and learn about the wonders of our universe. Bring your lunch and a friend as we journey through time and space. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Koegle. Roots will meet today in Room 305 at lunch. See you there! Cosmos Club is cancelled due to a Science Olympiad meeting in room 902. Science Olympiad will be holding their final meeting today at lunch in room 902. All team members and alternates are to attend the meeting. We will be discussing last minute details as well as handing out our shirts. See you then! We are the Now is meeting on Friday at lunch in room 501. Attention students who sold 25 or more items for magazine drive - the mall trip is right around the corner. We will be leaving school at the start of B period and will return at the end of C period on March 6th. We will be spending some time at the mall and lunch will be provided for you. You will be receiving a permission slip that needs to be completed and turned in no later than Friday, February 27th to Mrs. Nez in room 401. Honor Society Please check the window at the ASB office to see if you made the 2015 spring Honor Society. The names will be listed there starting at lunch on Wednesday. We will have a meeting in Knutson Hall on Friday for all members of the 7th and 8th grade Honor Societies. We will be discussing the spring induction ceremonies and also taking the pictures for the yearbook. Congrats to Bananas and Salty Tomatoes!! They will be competing for No Love Soccer championship being played on Friday at lunch. ALL LOST & FOUND ITEMS WILL BE ON THE OUTDOOR STAGE AT NUTRITION & LUNCH TODAY THROUGH FRIDAY !!!
