Sunday 15th February 2015
Eucharistic Prayer 3, Preface for Sundays 3
This week there will be a collection for the Arundel &
Brighton Diocesan Lourdes Fund.
Ash Wednesday is this Wednesday and marks the
beginning of Lent. It is a day of fasting and abstinence. (It
is not a holy day of obligation)
It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of
Sister Lucy at the convent in Midhurst on Tuesday last
week. Her funeral will take place at the Catholic Church in
Midhurst on Monday 23rd Feb at 12 noon. All are
welcome.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St Philip’s on Saturday
28th at 11.30am followed, hopefully by refreshments. (No
9.30am Mass that day)
There will be a formal Induction Mass for Mrs Joanna
Sanchez is our new Head Teacher at St Philip’s on
Sunday 1st March at 9.30am.
The next Shared Lunch is planned for Wednesday 11th
March.
Vocation Matters: Be cured, says Jesus. Part of our
journey to wholeness is knowing our need of him; of
knowing that only he can fulfil even our deepest needs
and desires. Our Christian vocation invites us to seek in
Jesus the fullness and serenity for which we long. We will
find it nowhere else. All else is nothing! Only Jesus!
Bible Convention: THIS SUNDAY 15th February, 2-6pm
at St Philip’s, led by Fr Soji, an internationally renowned
Liturgy
