Theme: The Gospel reflection on the
temptation of Christ in the wilderness is
closely connected with the temptations that
confront every one of us in our daily lives. We
need to make Christ-like effort to resist
temptation and to overcome it. The Lenten
Season reminds us of the need for spiritual
renewal through prayer, fasting and alms
giving. Let us make an effort to live ‘on every
word that comes from the mouth of God’.
