I consider EVERTHING a loss compared to the surpassing GREATNESS of knowing Christ Jesus my LORD. Phil 3:8 The Noticeboard A message from Mr Lainson Last week we considered the fact that our only hope in life and death is that we belong to God. If we belong to God then we need to consider what is God like? Wednesday 18th February 2015 Term 1 Week 3 Upcoming Events @ Cordeaux FRIDAY 20TH STAGE 5 FRENCH TO UNIVERSITY OF WOLLONGONG LANGUAGE DAY FRIDAY 20TH FEBRUARY GAWA FUNDRAISING BBQ LUNCH ‘Among the gods there is none like you, Lord; no deeds can compare with FEBRUARY yours. All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name. For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.’ (Psalm 86:8 – 10) ‘But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.’ (Psalm 86:15) God is the creator and sustainer of everyone and everything. He is eternal, infinite; he is outside of space, time and history. God is righteous and he is unchangeable in his power and perfection, goodness and glory, wisdom, justice and truth. He is personal and relational. God is loving, compassionate and slow to anger. What a privilege it is to belong to such a great God who is like none other. And what does God ask of his people ? To glorify him as we live lives of worship. A REMINDER FROM MR LAINSON REGARDING SCHOOL UNIFORMS The two year transition time for the new school uniform is now over, making the new school uniforms compulsory for all years. Parents, please ensure that your child has the correct uniform by checking your copy of the Parent Handbook. You are also reminded that sports and regular uniform are not to be interchanged under any circumstance. EG: tracksuit jacket NOT to be worn with the regular uniform and the woollen jumper may NOT be worn with the sports uniform. HELP US TO HELP YOU Many students have medical or other special needs in our school. So that we can best care for all our students it is important to have up to date information signed by a medical professional. For example: an asthma plan by a GP, a Paediatrician’s report, an assessment by a psychologist or OT. Many times in the medical world, terminology can change so it is important to get re assessed where appropriate. If you are not sure if this includes your child please speak to anyone from administration, learning support or your class teacher.
