SATURDAY 7TH MARCH 10am Official opening and welcome 10.30am Pistol club display Kids photos - Operatic makeup for kids war wounds and bandaged by Red Cross or St Johns (all day) Sales Table Buy a button hole and Anzac Biscuits 11.30am Solder display 1.30pm - 3pm Memorabilia evaluation ( bring your war treasure along!) 2.15pm - till late Hokonui Celtic Pipe Band 3.30 pm Kids Painting Competition (judging) The Andrews Sisters singing War Songs 5.00pm War Play ( Gore Repertory) 6pm The 6 O’clock Ceremony 6.15pm Restaurant Open, come and join us for your evening meal 8pm - onwards Entertainment SUNDAY 8TH MARCH 10am Club Opens. Displays inside club Rooms 10.30am Start of the vintage car Rally from the Gore RSA 1pm Gore Tin Hat Club Session. The oldest Tin Hat Club in NZ (come and join us for a great afternoon) Gore RSA President Frank Lynch cordially invites all of Gore and surrounding districts to the club’s open day on Saturday 7th March from 10:00am. This is an opportunity for everyone who has never been into the Gore RSA before to come along and enjoy the facilities we have. As part of Southland Heritage month, the club will be displaying war memorabilia on this day along with weaponry and machinery used in the great wars. There will be displays in our car park and on Civic Avenue so there will be plenty to see and do. Food and entertainment will be available throughout the day so don’t forget to bring along your children. Entry is free and no membership is required for the day.
