FROM DR. SHAWA:
It is a joy to be around your students and see the results of their hard work. In the classroom many are applying
themselves, and it shows in their accomplishments.
In the area of sports, our girl’s track team achieved a first in Louisiana. For the third year in a row they won the state
indoor track meet! Congratulations to our young ladies. They work hard to train and also to keep their grades up.
Our boy’s basketball team has reached the playoffs again the year after a very good district season. We will begin
the playoffs tomorrow night, playing Montgomery at 7 p.m. in our gym.
Over the years we have had many logos here at HCA. We would like for the Warrior Nation Family to help select the
one that we will use for the foreseeable future. We will ask students, teachers, staff, and parents to participate in
this selection. The selection process will take place next week (March 2-6) at the school. A computer lab will be set
up for this purpose. Parents may come during the day to vote. Please join in this process.
Blessed in Christ,
Ray Shawa, Jr.
FROM COACH SENSLEY:
Good day everyone,
We all come from different backgrounds. The common ground that we share is our love for Jesus Christ. Many
times in life we focus on things that separate rather than things that unite. It is simply a matter of embracing
diversity. We cannot allow Satan to come in and divide us because it is our responsibility to put him under our feet,
as the Bible says.
It is my prayer that the Hamilton family become a TEAM (Together Everybody Achieves More). We are not perfect,
but with the assistance of the Holy Spirit and the blood of Jesus, we can through Them reach perfection.
I love each and every one of my HCA Family, and I just wanted you all to know that. It is my prayer that we develop
such a strong relationship with each other that one cannot fall without the other lifting him up. The Bible tells us
“that love covers a multitude of sins.” May we all allow God’s love for us to be shared with everyone we come in
contact with.
Prayerfully,
Tim Sensley
