Entry Deadline: March 13, 2015 MBCEA Building of the Year Awards We invite you to submit your application for this special MBCEA award that will earn national recognition for outstanding efforts in creating one of the best building systems of the year!! It’s simple to enter this year’s awards program - just follow the rules, and submit project information with pictures via CD/DVD/USB. Please remember that the better the photographic portrayal of your entries, the better the judges’ chances of properly evaluating your building. The winners will be introduced and the pictures displayed during the 46th Annual MBCEA Conference at the Bahia Resort in San Diego, California on April 30 - May 2, 2015. Award winners are asked to attend the MBCEA Conference in San Diego to accept the prestigious award. The Rules 1. Contractor and Erector Members of MBCEA are eligible to enter a maximum of two (2) projects. 2. Entries will be judged by an outside panel of judges based on the following criteria: Aesthetics, Unusual or Interesting Features, Quality Features, Complexity, and Green Building elements. 3. Project Categories: Aviation, Education, Innovative Thermal Barriers, Manufacturing, Recreational, Religious, Specialty, and Warehouse. A Winner of Excellence and a Winner of Merit will be given in EACH of the categories. One entry will be selected as The Building of the Year. 4. To be eligible, buildings must have been completed after January 1, 2014. 5. Each entry must include photographic support. A minimum of three (3) pictures must accompany each entry. Please Note: Entries and pictures will be retained by MBCEA unless requested. By participating in the MBCEA Building of the Year Awards program, entrants grant MBCEA the right to use the submitted pictures to promote the metal building industry. 6. All entries must be submitted via CD/DVD/USB to MBCEA no later than March 13, 2015. 7. *** There is no charge for entering, but each award winner must attend the 46th Annual MBCEA Conference at the Bahia Resort in San Diego, California on April 30 - May 2, 2015 to accept the award.
