“Synod on Marriage and the Family Today
Last autumn Pope Francis held the first half of a meeting of the bishops to discuss the church's teaching and
pastoral practice regarding the family. Next autumn the bishops will meet again to discuss the views from parishes
throughout the world. We are all invited to contribute to this process of prayer and discussion and our diocese is
encouraging us to do so. If you would like to find out more, there will be a one hour meeting led by Nick Weeks in
the parish rooms at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 25th March.

Lent Lunches every Wednesday, noon-1.30 pm, Feb 25 to March 25 in the Methodist Church Hall (no steps ramped all the way in), High St, Tisbury in aid of Naomi House Trust. Tisbury's churches take turns in providing the
soup/bread and cheese. Please support this.
Finding God in Ordinary Life, a series of Lent Talks in St Edward's Catholic Church, Shaftesbury by Fr Dylan James.
7.30 pm on Thursdays Feb 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19, and after 7.00 pm Stations on March 27. Half hour talks followed
by 30 minutes for questions and discussion.
