SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT
IF YOU ARE COMING A LONG DISTANCE TO ATTEND MASS,
WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILDREN USE
THE RESTROOMS WHEN YOU GET HERE (BEFORE MASS),
IN ORDER TO AVOID HAVING TO LEAVE DURING MASS.
THANK YOU.

from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS 3RD DEGREE: Members will
meet on Thursday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m.
IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROGRAM “PROTECTING GOD’S
CHILDREN”, and in the interest of children’s safety, we ask that
children not be allowed to leave Mass to use the restrooms
downstairs, unless they are accompanied by an adult. Because we
are a public building, doors are required to be unlocked, allowing
entrance to all.
LECTORS: We ask that you please return the workbooks
each week so that they can be available to those who
are preparing to read the following week.
We will have EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
on First Friday, March 6, beginning after the 8:00
a.m. Mass—6:00 p.m. Please sign up in the
narthex to come and be with the Lord.
BENEDICTION AND STATIONS OF THE CROSS will take place on

The Supper Committee for Waterboro, East
Waterboro, Newfield and West Newfield wish to
thank all those who helped with the Bean Supper
last week: Bakers, workers, callers, setup/
cleanup and all who attended. Congratulations to
Fred Ross, winner of the floral basket (door
prize), to Tom LePage, winner of $30.50 (50/50
drawing), and to Joe Estrella, winner of the grape vine wreath. The
supper netted $1,053.00. Wonderful job everyone!
LENTEN BIBLE STUDY: This Sunday, March 1, at 2 p.m., and each
Sunday through March 29, our Faith Formation program will sponsor the
DVD-based program, A Quick Journey through the Bible. Jeff Cavins,
formerly of EWTN, takes a chronological walk through the Bible story in a
way that reveals God’s plan for his creation; what went wrong at the
beginning and how God worked through history to reconcile his lost
children to himself.
RICE BOWLS: Join our parish community and more than 13,000
Catholic communities across the United States in a life-changing Lenten
journey with CRS Rice Bowl. Pick up your family’s rice bowl on the carts
in the narthex. Remember, your Lenten sacrifices change lives.
This week CRS Rice Bowl takes us to the coffee highlands of
Nicaragua, where we’re called to protect both the goodness of creation
and the livelihoods of struggling families. How will this week’s fast
remind us of the sacredness of God’s creation and our duty to protect it?
COMMUNITY LUNCHEON: Please join us on Tuesday, March 3,
beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the parish hall for our March
Community Luncheon. Those attending are asked to please bring
a salad, casserole or dessert. BINGO for prizes is held after the
luncheon.
The High School Youth Ministry is again collecting
items for EASTER BASKETS. These are given out to
local families in our Food Pantry as well as extras to
local schools who are in need. If anyone knows of a
family in need, please let Deacon Paul know. We need
baskets, small toys, grass, lots of candy of all kinds,
and cellophane to cover them. We'd like to thank you
all in advance for your generosity. The box is in the
Narthex.
2ND COLLECTION: Next week’s second collection will be for
Capital Improvements.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS MEAT RAFFLE: The Knights of
Columbus will be selling chances on their annual Meat Raffle
next weekend, March 7 & 8.
