2ND COLLECTION: This weekend’s second collection is
for Capital Improvements.
ARMED FORCES OUTREACH CARE PACKAGES
COLLECTION: This weekend the Armed Forces Outreach
Group is conducting a CARE packages collection to send to our
military men and women serving in Western Africa assisting in
combating the spread of the Ebola virus. We are asking for
donations of canned pastas and soups, “Lunch to Go” meals, pop
tarts, breakfast bars, teabags, flavored coffee creamers, mustards,
spicy sauces, dried fruit, trail mix, crackers, Cheese Whiz, hard
candy, canned nuts, baby wipes, hand sanitizers and similar items.
Please...no chocolates or anything that will melt in the heat,
and nothing in glass containers. Paperback books, magazines,
and puzzle books are also appreciated.
The American Red Cross will conduct a
Blood Drive in the parish hall on Monday,
January 12, from 1:00-6:00 p.m. If you are
in good health, please call 1-800-733-2767,
or visit www.RedCrossBlood.org to schedule
your appointment. Walk-ins are welcome. Give blood—
save lives.
PASTORAL COUNCIL: There will be a meeting of the
Finance Commission on Tuesday, January 13, at 6:30
p.m., followed by a Pastoral Council meeting at 7:00 p.m.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS 4TH DEGREE: Members will meet on
Thursday, January 15, at 6:30 p.m. for dinner, followed by a
meeting.
RESPECT LIFE: Members of the Respect Life Committee will
meet on Saturday, January 17, at 2:30 p.m.
PUBLIC BAKED BEAN SUPPER: Parishioners of
Cornish, Hiram, Parsonsfield, Baldwin and Porter will
host a public Baked Bean Supper in the parish hall next
Saturday, January 17, from 4:30-6:00 p.m. MENU:
Baked Beans, Ham, Hot Dogs, American Chop Suey,
Cole Slaw, Assorted Casseroles, Bread, Beverage and Dessert. PRICE:
Adults $8.00; Children 6-12 $3.00; Children 5 and under are free. If you
live in any of these towns and do not receive a phone call asking you to
bake, we would be most appreciative if you would do so.
FOOD PANTRY: The Food Pantry is in need of paper bags. If you have
any extras, please bring them and leave them in the narthex.
MITTEN TREE: The Food Pantry is requesting
anyone who enjoys knitting to help replenish
mittens and hats for their “Mitten Tree”. These
are given out to those in need to help keep
heads and hands warm during the winter
months. Thank you.
WORLDWIDE MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER: Your marriage is important to
you, your family, and the church. Sign up now for the Worldwide Marriage
Encounter weekend scheduled in Caribou for April 10-12. The weekend is
designed as a private experience between husband and wife. It focuses on
communication techniques which help each individual couple enhance
their experience of intimacy and rekindle the joy and excitement of living
in love. The registration fee is $50, and a freewill donation will be accepted

CATHERINE MCAULEY HIGH SCHOOL'S WINTER OPEN HOUSE: Catherine
McAuley High School, Maine’s only college-preparatory school for young women,
will be hosting its annual Winter Open House for prospective students and their
parents on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 6pm (snow date: January 21). Young
