PRAYER MATTERS
Monday 2 March 2015 - (SB449) Lent – a time to reflect. Lord,
sometimes I just don't know what to say to You. But still I come, in
quiet, for the comfort of two friends, sitting in silence - & I know that
without words, in the stillness, You are there - & I love You. (EA)
Tuesday 3 – (SB265) Give thanks for all those who work tirelessly in
the background & contribute to the smooth running of our corps
fellowship.
Wednesday 4 – (SB634) Father, I need Your help with forgiving. It's
not human nature to pray for someone who's hurt me. Please help me to
be more like Jesus & not only forgive, but to pray sincerely for those
who hurt me. (IW)
Thursday 5 – (SB100) World Book Day: All over the UK children are
dressing up today as their favourite storybook character & celebrating
the amazing gift of books.(UCB) Thank God for the many Christian
writers who over centuries have left us a vast legacy of help &
encouragement.
Friday 6 – (SB290) World Day of Prayer: The Bahamas. Theme 'Do you
know what I have done to you?' (John 13:1-17) Lord Jesus, As You
washed Your disciples' feet, bathe us in Your refreshing Spirit. Wipe
away our day's accumulation of stress & tiredness. We are ready to
follow Your way of servant love. Amen (WWDP)
Saturday 7 – (SB523) Almighty God, thank You that the light of the
gospel is shining in every corner of the world through Your Church, of
which we at Boscombe are a part. May millions of people who have not
yet heard of Your truth & grace come to know You & pass on that light
to others.(CARE)
Sunday 8 – (SB516) Altar Service Day: Love is giving for the world's
needs, Love is sharing as the Spirit leads, Love is caring when the world
cries, Love is compassion with Christlike eyes. (ODB)
