Week 11/12 Celebrity Juice The Real Housewives of Cheshire Thursday 10pm Monday, 10pm Blue Murder Snooker: World Grand Prix Live * Thursday - Friday, 11pm Monday - Friday, times vary Downton Abbey Thursday, 9pm 14th - 20th March 2015 Ben 10: Omniverse ITV.com Tuesday 5pm Week 11/12 14th - 20th March 2015 You’re Back in the Room Saturday 14th March, 8.20pm Phillip Schofield hosts this brand new primetime game show with a twist. A team of five strangers take on apparently simple challenges to win money – but each of them has been hypnotised beforehand. The contestants who are willingly open to subliminal suggestion, are hypnotised by international mentalist Keith Barry, and seemingly straightforward tasks will get much harder as their hypnotic triggers cause them to inadvertently sabotage their own chances of winning, with hilarious consequences. In the past decade, Irishborn Keith Barry has enjoyed success across the globe, including an MTV Europe special, the US series Deception with Keith Barry and an ITV special, The Escape Live. Hosting his first primetime game show since the huge success of The Cube, Phillip is on hand as the contestants play four rounds, each being worth an increasing amount for their cash pot. The more they accumulate, the more chance they have to walk away with a big cash prize of up to £25,000 in the final End Game. The only thing standing between them and the cash is their own minds! In the first show, Phillip welcomes special guest chefs Aldo Zilli, Paul Rankin, Ed Baines and Lesley Waters. Dickinson’s Real Deal Monday 16th - Friday 20th March, 3pm ITV welcomes back a familiar face this week as the Duke himself returns for a brand new series of the popular daytime show. David Dickinson and a team of specialist dealers head off around the country in search of treasure as members of the public dig out their family heirlooms, bargain buys and unusual artefacts in the hope of raising some cash. Each of the dealers has a wad of cash at their disposal, but it is up to each seller to decide whether to accept the dealer’s offer or try their luck at auction. Savvy sellers know how to play the game and often realise when they are onto a winner, but David is also on hand to offer advice and perhaps squeeze a little extra out of the dealers. Those who are brave – or perhaps greedy – can turn down a dealer offer and instead see how their possessions get on as an auction lot, but it is a gamble and they must pay commission on anything sold. The series kicks off on Monday in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, where dealer Jan Keane gets her hands on some Meissen figures. Tuesday sees the team visiting Aylesbury, where Corrie Jeffery takes a shine to a hat pin stand, Wednesday brings us to Leigh in Greater Manchester for a look at a brass clock with Cheryl Hakeney, David and co return to Aylesbury on Thursday as Simon Schneider gets excited about a Matchbox toy collection, and finally Uxbridge plays host for Friday’s show, where things get very emotional at Karen Dalmeny’s table. ITV.com Week 11/12 14th - 20th March 2015 Arthur & George Monday 16th March, 9pm The three-part adaptation of Julian Barnes’s novel, based on the real events surrounding the relationship between Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Martin Clunes) and George Edalji (Arsher Ali), a man sentenced to prison in 1903 for a crime for which he maintained his innocence, concludes. In the final episode, Arthur is determined to prove the doubters wrong and find out for himself if George has been hiding anything. He attacks the case with renewed vigour and uncovers fresh evidence that contradicts that of the police. Woodie (Charles Edwards) is at first concerned by Arthur’s continued interest in the case but becomes convinced that they are on to something. It seems that they finally have the culprit in their sights, and the fact that they are so close to the truth is the reason the Wyrley Ripper has been desperately trying to put them off. Arthur is determined to take his fight to the highest echelons of the British establishment, even if this means exposing prejudice and corruption. But he and Woodie remain in danger, as it appears that the Wyrley Ripper is still at large and may be toying with Conan Doyle by attempting to outwit the creator of the world’s most famous fictional detective. Will Arthur be able to unlock the case and prove to the world that George is innocent? Mr Selfridge Sunday 15 March, 9pm The period drama about the life of Harry Gordon Selfridge, the flamboyant and charismatic but ultimately vulnerable American entrepreneur who founded the world-famous department store on Oxford Street, continues its third series. The opening of Selfridges in 1909 marked a revolution in retailing in an era that saw a seismic shift in the world order. Class distinctions were becoming blurred, American heiresses were saving ancient English noble families and women everywhere were demanding their rights. Series three sees the action move to the aftermath of the Great War, after the franchise has been extended to nearly all adult men and a limited number of women. In episode eight, Harry (Jeremy Piven) launches ITV.com a massive ‘Britain at Play’ event in the store, but is shocked when Nancy (Kelly Adams) announces that she wants to cool things down between them. While Miss Mardle (Amanda Abbington) is at work, George (Calum Callaghan) is busy at home looking after baby Ernest. When Mr Grove (Tom Goodman-Hill) continues to snub Miss Mardle, however, George is forced to take matters into his own hands. Victor (Trystan Gravelle) and Elsa ( Naomi Ryan) have a brand new idea for Colleano’s. As Violette (Hannah Tointon) appears to have a new suitor, Harry begins to realise just how much Nancy means to him. Week 11/12 14th - 20th March 2015 DCI Banks Wednesday 18th March, 9pm The critically acclaimed crime drama series, based on the novels by Peter Robinson, and starring Stephen Tompkinson as Banks, continues with the first half of a two-part story, Buried. A husband and daughter struggle to come to terms with their grief when the body of Anaan Kamel is found washed up by an underground river. Suspicion falls on Marcus Leyton, a former employee of Anaan and Raheel’s law chambers, who was recently fired. Texts between Raheel and Marcus suggest an affair which led to blackmail on his part. Banks and DI Helen Morton (Caroline Catz) believe that the family are hiding something when daughter Nafeesah makes up a story about her mother recently falling down the stairs. She eventually reveals that Anaan’s brother Bilal hit her in an argument over her conduct and faith. Bilal swears that he is innocent of his sister’s killing. When Marcus’s body is found upstream, the team are faced with a double murder. Evidence at the crime scene makes them suspect a contract killing and there seems to have been an eyewitness who has fled the scene. DS Annie Cabbot (Andrea Lowe) and DC Ken Blackstone (Jack Deam) track down the witness, Geoff Dwyer. All Star Family Fortunes Sunday 15th March, 8pm The current series of the popular game show continues this Sunday, hosted by Vernon Kay. Two more celebrity-led families go head-to-head in a bid to win £30,000 for their respective good causes. The teams must guess the most popular answers to a series of seemingly easy questions, which are based on a survey of 100 members of the British public. Anyone familiar with the format knows that this is not as easy as it sounds and that for one team to come up with a full list of correct answers is something of a rarity. The opposing team will be ready to pounce with a make-orbreak answer of their own, hoping to steal the cash prize for that round. As a host, Vernon is never shy when it comes to digging out embarrassing photographs, footage or ITV.com information on the star contestants. The winning team has the opportunity to play for £10,000, but the big challenge is identifying all five top answers to bag the full £30,000 jackpot in the final Big Money round. With limited time, lots of pressure and some tricky questions, will the two players selected from the winning team be able to second-guess the British public and secure the full amount? This week, Manchester-born Sunderland footballer Wes Brown and his family go head-to-head with Geordie actress Jill Halfpenny and her nearest and dearest. Which team will be playing for the jackpot on behalf of their chosen charity? 14th - 20th March 2015 Week 11/12 Big Star’s Little Star Wednesday 18th March, 8pm The third series of the hilarious entertainment show continues this week, opening the door once again to find out what life is really like in some celebrity households. Host Stephen Mulhern, who has recently fronted celebrity talent show Get Your Act Together and ITV2 panel show Reality Bites, quizzes some of Britain’s most popular stars and their children to unearth some magical memories and hilarious anecdotes as they try to win as much money as they can for a charity of their choice. The show offers viewers a peek into the home lives of the stars, revealing what they are really like behind closed doors. Each week, three celebrities and their little superstars compete for a possible jackpot of £15,000. Will their offspring keep quiet or will there be any embarrassing revelations about what mum and dad get up to when the cameras are not following them? Perhaps the celebs have some hobbies and habits that they would prefer to keep out of the public eye, but will the kids be able to keep them under wraps under the glare of the spotlight? Famous mums and dads in the current series so far have included Boyzone’s Ronan Keating, former soap stars Joe Swash and Sheree Murphy, boxer Carl Froch, former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies and businessman Duncan Bannatyne. Who will be next to let their kids risk their street cred? Barging Round Britain with John Sergeant Friday 20th March, 8pm In this eight-part series, John Sergeant sets off on a rich and colourful voyage along some of the finest canal journeys that Britain has to offer, exploring the stories behind the waterways as he goes. Britain’s canal network is a true national treasure. Forged in the heat of the Industrial Revolution yet passing through some of the most beautiful scenery in the land, our canals boast a remarkable history while remaining home to a vibrant community rooted in a unique way of life. John’s travels take him across the length and breadth of Britain, from the gentle downs of Somerset in the south, via the ITV.com breathtaking countryside and engineering of the Llangollen Canal of north Wales, to the dramatic splendour of the spectacular coast-to-coast Caledonian Canal in the north of Scotland. Every step of the way, John immerses himself in living history, bringing the past to life by rolling up his sleeves, getting stuck in, and having a go at canal practices past and present. In this week’s episode, John journeys along the Kennet and Avon Canal from Bath towards Reading. John proves to be useless at beer barrel making, better at steam engine stoking and actually quite a natural with Freddy, the narrow boat horse. 14th - 20th March 2015 Week 11/12 Bear Grylls: Mission Survive Friday 20th March, 9pm Bear Grylls continues the series which features eight celebrities trekking through the rainforest of Costa Rica on a 12-day adventure. Bear gives the group daily briefings but they must complete the exercise without him. Survival expert Megan Hine and former commando Scott Heffield are on the ground to report on everyone’s progress. The theme of the show is to push the participants to their physical and emotional limits as they search out the four elements vital for survival – shelter, water, fire and food to supplement their meagre army rations. The jungle has already taken its toll, with one of the group suffering from mosquito bites and another with trench foot. Most recently, Bear introduced the group to a two-mile cave system and demonstrated how to obtain vital zinc from a jungle source – tarantulas! One member of the team discovered a freshly killed pig in one of the caves and bore it back in triumph to his mates, delighted at the prospect of a hog roast. The following day started with a helicopter transfer to the Pacific Coast to the Tempisque, the largest river in Costa Rica. The celebrities’ mission seemed simple – all they had to do was get across safely. Unfortunately, the river is home to more than 2,000 crocodiles and in order to avoid them the crossing had to be made where the water is at its fiercest. It was the celebrities’ last chance to impress Bear before elimination. Who is emerging as a hero, who is making too many mistakes and who has demonstrated the cheerfulness in adversity that Bear is looking for? Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway Saturday 14th March, 7pm Fresh from presenting the BRIT awards, Ant and Dec continue the brand new series of their fun-packed Saturday evening entertainment show. Week 11/12 14th - 20th March 2015 The Jonathan Ross Show Saturday 14th March, 9.20pm The Saturday night chat show continues its eighth series as the nation’s favourite interviewer plays host to a very special guest. Having welcomed a diverse range of top musical performers already during this series, including Take That, Diana Krall, Bryan Ferry, Paloma Faith and Kanye West, this week Jonathan dedicates an entire show to the one and only Madonna. Coinciding with the release of her 13th studio album Rebel Heart, and following her recent eventful performance at this year’s BRIT Awards, the accomplished Ms Ciccone sits down to discuss her new material, for which she has worked with cuttingedge musicians including Avicii and Diplo. Jonathan questions the singer, actress, fashion designer and philanthropist about her recently announced Rebel Heart tour, what it is like to stay at the top for over 30 years and what might be next for the multi-talented performer – are there any more strings to add to her bow? The unstoppable 56-year-old also discusses fans, family, the future and even that recent famous fall, as well as performing two tracks live in the studio. Celebrity Juice Thursday 19th March 10pm Fresh from the recent success of his newest project, The Keith Lemon Sketch Show, the ITV2 favourite returns this week with a triumphant thirteenth series of TV’s ultimate guilty viewing pleasure. The outrageous comedy panel show remains the most popular show on the channel, with consistently high ratings and a host of big name celebrities lining up to appear despite the show’s reputation for ritual humiliation of its guests! The celebrity news quiz’s popularity shows no sign of waning, with the most recent series attracting a diverse range of celebrity panellists including singer Jessie J, comedian Chris Ramsey, controversial columnist Katie Hopkins, celebrity chefs the Hairy Bikers and boy band ITV.com McBusted. After a memorable stint as guest captain, This Morning’s cheeky chef Gino D’Acampo will be returning as a regular guest panellist alongside Fearne Cotton and returning team captain Holly Willoughby. A host of new stars will be joining the regulars for the opening show of the series as Keith thinks up ever more weird, wonderful and downright disgusting ways to embarrass them. Seven years and thirteen series in, Keith remains one of the few entertainers who can get away with such an irreverent attitude towards his guests, so whoever dares to appear had better come prepared! Week 11/12 14th - 20th March 2015 The Ibiza Weekender Sunday 15th March, 9pm Cameras return to the Mediterranean for the sixth episode of the reality series which hopes to find out what happens when young British holidaymakers head out on their first parent-free holiday. The new, improved Imogen was determined not to make the same mistakes again, and vowed not to fall for the charms of another work colleague, but she soon succumbed to the charms of musclebound Deano. As Imogen wondered what would happen next Jordan, an old face from her Magaluf days, appeared on the scene. With her former unrequited love now staying on as a rep, Imogen has faced a backlash from some of her co-workers, who have sided with the notorious ladies’ man. The Real Housewives of Cheshire Monday 16th March, 10pm The popular Real Housewives reality format concludes its first UK-based series this week with the final instalment of The Real Housewives of Cheshire. The British show steps inside the champagne-fuelled lives of beauty salon boss and motherof-one Ampika Pickston, interior designer and mother-of-four Dawn Ward, housewife and mother-of-two Lauren Simon, children’s fashion designer and mother-of-three Leanne Brown, author and mother-of-three Magali Gorré and former model turned life coach and motherof-three Tanya Bardsley. Cameras follow these formidable and often very funny characters and their complex intertwined lives as they go about their day-to-day activities, offering an insight not only into their lavish homes and luxurious lifestyles, but also what makes them tick – and what makes them explode in anger as well! Magali began the series as the major antagonist amongst the ITV.com ladies, having rubbed Dawn and Leanne up the wrong way over tickets to Dawn’s charity event in the first episode. A clash between slightly snobby Cheshire native Lauren and nononsense, new-on-the-scene Tanya caused further friction during Ampika’s disastrous dinner party, while more recently a feud has erupted between Dawn and the equally fiery Ampika. This week’s final episode sees Dawn hosting a glamorous dinner party at Warford Hall for all the housewives, but true to form not everything goes to plan and by the end of the night not everyone is welcome. O'Brien's nephew Alfred joins the staff downstairs and struggles to meet Mr Carson's high standards – and matters are made worse by Thomas's jealous behaviour.
