ANNOUNCEMENT – March 5, 2015 (For Immediate Release)
While surrounded by the City of Wentzville, the new roadway extension
between Highway Z and Quail Ridge Park is located in a pocket of unincorporated
land area and was therefore constructed by St. Charles County Government as a St.
Charles County Highway Project.
At this time, St. Charles County is coordinating with MoDOT on the details for
the traffic signalization on all four legs of the Highway Z/Interstate Drive
intersection. Until this signal is installed by the county, the public will not be able
to use the new extension to Highway Z, due to traffic volumes and safety
considerations. The latest estimate from the county is that the signal will be
installed within the several months.
