Hot Fruit Punch
A delicious warming drink that could be enjoyed on a
cold day. It’s great at bonfire and Christmas parties but to
enjoy at its best the flavours need to infuse for 2–3 hours or
overnight, so remember to plan ahead.

250ml pineapple juice

Hot Fruit Punch
Method
1. Put the sugar, spices and apple juice into
a saucepan.
2. Heat slowly on the hob, stirring until all
the sugar has dissolved.
3. Remove from the heat, cover and leave to
infuse for a couple of hours or overnight.
4. Strain the mixture in a sieve to remove
the spices and add in the cranberry juice
and pineapple juice.
Top Tips
• Use a ladle or pour into a large jug to serve.
• Do not leave the ingredients to infuse in an aluminium
saucepan, otherwise the flavours will transfer.
• You can buy cheap plastic buckets which, if
thoroughly washed, are ideal for mixing large
quantities before heating. Measure how many cups
you can get out of a bucket before you start.
5. Cut the lemon and lime in half and
squeeze the juice. Add the juice to the
rest of the liquid.

7. Slice the apple, lemon and orange into
long 1cm thick wedges.
8. Pour into cups or heatproof glasses and
use tongs to put in slices of orange,
lemon and apple as garnish.
