CONDUCT OF SIX-WEEK ‘CERTIFICATE COURSE IN SPORTS COACHING’ UNDER MASS SPORTS
PARTICIPATION PROGRAMME FROM 14TH MAY TO 24TH JUNE 2015.
We are pleased to inform you that Sports Authority of India through its Academic Wing, NSNIS, Patiala, is going
to conduct ‘Six-Week Certificate Course in Sports Coaching’ from 14th May to 24th June 2015 at Patiala; Bangalore;
Kolkata; Gandhinagar; A.N.University, Gantur (AP); SRM University, Kancheepuram (TN); Kuvempu University, Shimoga
(Karnataka); Mumbai; Aurangabad; Thiruvananthapuram; KIIT University, Bhubaneswar (Odisha); Banaras Hindu
University, (U.P); for men and women, having flair for games and sports, who are working in schools/colleges/
universities/industrial houses and other agencies associated with sports. You may sponsor suitable candidates from your
state/department for admission to Six-Week Certificate Course in Sports Coaching and forward their applications to the
Incharge (Academics), SAI NSNIS, Patiala.

APPLICATION F ORM :
Application form may be obtained from the office of the Incharge (Academics), Sports Authority of India, Netaji
Subhas National Institute of Sports, Old Moti Bagh, Patiala-147001, or may be downloaded from our website
<www.nsnis.org> under the link ‘Academics’.
II.
FEE PAYABLE
The lumpsum fee for the entire duration of the Six-week Certificate Course is Rs.15,250/- which includes lodging,
boarding, tuition fee and other miscellaneous expenses. The fee shall be payable at the time of joining of the
course by the selected candidates.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Sports Achievements:
Minimum 10+2 pass
a) 1st, 2nd& 3rd position holder in District Championship of
Individual and Team Games/Sports in the concerned discipline
OR
b) Participation in State Championship/University Champ.
[Preference will be given to the International Players,
Physical Education Teachers, Social Workers and
sponsored candidates from Institutes/organizations, who
fulfills the above (a) or (b) required eligibility criteria]
AGE:
20-40 years as on 14th May 2015
Relaxation in Age:
Relaxation in upper age limit upto five years will be given to the candidates
belongs to SC/ST & North-East areas.

DURATION OF THE COURSE:
Six Weeks (14 May to 24 June 2015)
VI.
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION:
Candidates desirous to get admission in Six-week Certificate Course are
required to apply in the prescribed application form and enclose a demand draft
of Rs.500/- as application fee (non-refundable) drawn on State Bank of Patiala
OR State Bank of India, payable at Patiala, in favour of ‘The Executive

Director, SAI, NSNIS, Patiala’. The last date of receiving application is 31
March 2015 in the Office of the Incharge (Academics), Sports Authority of
India, Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Old Moti Bagh, Patiala147001.

REJECTION OF APPLICATION:
Incomplete applications, applications without attested copies of documents,
applications received after the due date, application without the application fee of
Rs.500/- and the applications not certified by Registered Medical Practitioner will
be rejected/not considered.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Call letters will be sent to each selected candidate to report at the concerned centre to join the course. The list of
selected candidates will also be uploaded on our website well before in time. If any candidate did not receive call
letter due to any postal reason and his/her name is available in the list of selected candidates on our website,
such candidates are advised to report at the concerned centre to join the course accordingly.
2. Selected candidates are advised to bring the following items along with them for their use during the course:
a. Own playing sports kit required in the concerned game/sport (if any).
b. Bedding, linen, mosquito net and other necessary personal belongings.
c. Track-suit, T-shirts, Shorts (any colour); warm-up/concerned game shoe, white socks.
Note:
1. Sports Authority of India reserves the right to cancel or change the venue of the course without assigning any
reason.
