feed additive
for swine diets
Natural Performance and Preference Technology
NEWtraStart™ feed is a phytogenic feed
ingredient. Phytogenics (also referred to
as nutraceuticals and botanicals) are a
combination of natural plant-based feed ingredients
such as defined herbs, spice extracts and encapsulated
essential oils that are balanced to the needs of
nursery pigs, sows and grow-finish animals in order to
stimulate feed intake, enhance nutrient digestion and
retention plus, optimize gut health.
What differentiates NEWtraStart™ feed from other
phytogenics is the combination of encapsulated
essential oils with two other plant components used to
accomplish performance enhancements.

next largest improvement (9%) was observed for pigs in
the 16 to 17.9 lb category (Chart 1). Thus, NEWtraStart™
