Your generous contributions to the club and to the West Wichita Charitable Foundation over the last two years allowed us to increase our support of existing programs and take on new ones. We’re expanding the number of $1,000 college scholarships from two to three this year. We’ll purchase groceries for at least forty-four needy families from Lawrence and Benton elementary schools during this school year. We’re continuing our support of literacy programs at Lawrence and are expanding them at Benton. Thank you for your service to others through Rotary. Your participation and investment makes a difference to those in need! I have updated and rearranged the badges on our Paul Harris Fellow banner to make room for more! The badges on this banner include all who became PHF’s through our club over the years. We are currently around $5,300 towards our goal of $6,500 in Foundation donations for this Rotary year. Be sure to check Jack’s Foundation thermometer poster at the meeting. Don’t forget ~ everyone who contributes $100 this year will receive a chance in a drawing to stay at Roger Bowles’ cabin in Colorado!
