Y34 Exhibition of Learning
In Memory of Ellie Mae Easton
‘Why were the floods of 2012 the worst to hit Braunton?
The staff and PTFA from Sticklepath School
would like to extend their sincere
condolences to the family of our former
pupil Ellie, who sadly passed away this
week. If you would like to make a donation
to ‘Care for Kids North Devon’
in memory of Ellie, a collection box will
be available in reception.
We invite you to an exhibition of learning on Thursday 26th
March. This will take place from 2:00-2:30pm and then again
from 5:30 to 6:00pm for anyone not able to attend the afternoon session. The exhibition will take place in our classrooms
and will show how we have investigated why the floods of 2012
were the worst to hit Braunton.
We look forward to seeing you.

Cross Country
Another magnificent effort at Landkey saw the Sticklepath
team lift the overall schools trophy. There were 8 medallists and a 3rd place in the relay. Special congratulations
to Eden Wheeldon and Keiran Howlett who both won gold
medals in the Blue race. We look forward to the last race
in the cross country series at Newport after Easter.
Thank you to all the parents and supporters that came

Solar Eclipse
Today, Friday 20th March, the school was cast into
a shadowy darkness due to the fact that we had a
solar eclipse. As it got darker it got colder and between 9.15 and 9.25 the children stood outside
with pinhole cameras trying to see the amazing
eclipse. After about ten minutes our hard work
paid off and we say the eclipse right in front of our
eyes, through our pinhole cameras. The eclipse was an extraordinary view and
everyone was so excited because an eclipse happens so rarely.
