With God, All Things are Possible (Mark 10:27) An Emmaus Experience: An Invitation to All Women of the Parish March 22, 2015 Dear Women of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Everyone needs to take time away from the "hustle and bustle" of today's world. And that's the reason for this letter. To the women of this parish, we are offering the perfect opportunity to not only take time from the business of day-to-day life but gifting yourself with time to reflect on your spiritual life as well. By attending the upcoming Emmaus retreat, you will experience God and truly deepen your relationship with the Lord. The Emmaus retreat is an experience where women are ministered to by other women, and it is based on the Gospel of Luke 24:13-35. In this Scripture passage, two disciples meet the Lord on their way to the village of Emmaus, after His resurrection and recognize Him in the breaking of the bread. I encourage women of the parish, ages 25 and older, to prayerfully consider setting aside the weekend of April 24, 25 & 26 for this retreat, which will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. You will make new friendships, and you will return to your home and workplace refreshed and renewed. The Emmaus Ministry has spent many hours in preparation for a successful journey for you. Registration for the retreat will begin this weekend, after all Masses, and continues every weekend through April 19, 2015. Please don't let the $125.00 registration fee stand in your way. Call Maureen Campbell at 954340-4848, and we can make other arrangements. Don't let this opportunity to travel the road to Emmaus pass you by. Yours in Christ Jesus, Rev. Edward M. Kelly Pastor With God, All Things are Possible (Mark 10:27) The Road to Peace Bereavement Group St. Elizabeth Ann Seton has a bereavement group. This group allows those who have lost a loved one a place to talk to someone who is going through what you are feeling. The group is a safe place where we, who are grieving, can come together and share the pain, sorrow and memories. In this way, we can begin the healing process and move on with our lives. Call Florence at 954755-9065 for more information. The Bereavement Group meets on Monday at 7 pm in room 209 of the Religious Education Building. Baptism Class Our next baptism class for parents & godparents will be on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 7 pm in the Administration Meeting Room. God promised to “remember their sin no more.” This Lenten season has offered us opportunities to recall the covenant God established at the moment of our baptism. In that moment, we became the people of God. Too often we forget this covenant and turn away from God. Lent is all about returning to the Lord with our whole heart. As the living word of God is proclaimed today, let us remember the faithfulness of our God and offer thanks for the gift of the Lord Jesus, who, as today’s letter to the Hebrews tells us, is “the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.” From Saint Margaret Sunday Missal, copyright © J.
