At least two years in Risk Management supervisory experience. Sound knowledge and demonstrable understanding of the Public Service Risk Compliance and Control environment. Legislation and Regulations, good knowledge of King III report on Corporate Governance, anti-fraud and corruption framework and strategy in the GPG and National Treasury Risk Framework and guidelines. Excellent report writing, communication and time management skills should be highly deadline driven and able to work independently of immediate supervisor. Excellent computer literacy in Excel, Power Point, and Word. Be able to maintain good interpersonal relations and good client liaison skills. Analytically linking good project management and problem solving skills. A valid driver’s license. Coordinate/plan and supervise a team to undertake risk assessment and review of risks registers across the department annually. Mange education awareness campaigns on Risk Management and to promote a risk management culture and capacity in the department. Coordinate with external stakeholders on broader effective and efficient risk management strategies to enhance risk management. Compile and consolidate risk assessment reports with recommendations and proposed action plans for implementation by relevant management. Assess and track implementation of risk register action plans timeously and regularly. Assist in the drafting and monitoring of policy and procedure documents relative to risk management practices for the department. Prepare statistical information and undertake trend analysis and representations thereof regarding the risk of the department. Supervise and partake in audit processes and facilitate audit liaison for the department where necessary. Facilitate and partake in the implementation and assessment of anti-fraud corruption strategies within the department. Qualities assure and review monthly progress reports and take corrective action where necessary to ensure complete, accurate and relevant information for reporting thereon to the risk committee. Assist with compilation and consolidation of oversight reports and submissions for the department. Supervise and manage a team through all processes of managing risk for the department. Facilitate the risk management committee meeting and logistics thereof.
