JOSEPH GRENNY
INFLUENCER: THE NEW SCIENCE OF LEADING CHANGE
Leading social scientist and
four-time best-selling author,
Crucial Conversations,
Influencer, Crucial Accountability
and Change Anything
Every leader wants to be an influencer — to
create widespread and lasting change. And
yet few leaders possess more than a handful
of techniques for getting others to change.
What truly influential leaders understand
is that influence has little to do with pep
talks, bribes or system updates but rather
the capacity to systematically, rapidly and
sustainably change a handful of key behaviors.
By drawing from the skills of hundreds of
successful leaders, thousands of successful
change efforts and more than six decades
of the best social science research, Grenny
teaches a proven model for leading change.
Grenny will provide insight as to how leaders
can tap into their power of influence by
identifying these high-leverage behaviors.
He’ll share how to apply strategies for
influencing thoughts and actions as well as
how to marshal the six sources of influence
making change inevitable.

ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA AT THE TIPPING POINT . . . AGAIN!
Center for the Digital
Future, research professor,
USC Annenberg School
for Communication
and Journalism
The subject of media convergence is
dominating conversations from Wall Street
to boardrooms worldwide. Cable operators,
terrestrial networks and streaming video
powerhouses continue to compete for
dominance among advertisers and consumers.
At the same time, the Internet and social
channels add further complexity to an already
cluttered media landscape. When the smoke
clears from this fierce battle, who will
emerge as winners? How will operating
and subscription models need to shift to
accommodate new entrants in the space?
What do retail advertisers need to know
to extract the greatest advantage for their
brands amid the confusion — while ensuring
that their investments don’t get lost in
the fray?
Drawing on 14 years of data from over
40 countries, Dr. Jeffrey Cole addresses
these issues and more. He will examine
how entertainment media, especially video,
is at the tipping point, again.
“A true visionary providing the public with information on how to understand the impact of media.”
— Al Gore, 45th Vice President of the United States
BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Jeffrey Cole has been at the forefront of media and communication issues for 25 years. An expert
in the field of technology and emerging media, he serves as an advisor to governments and companies
worldwide. He is director and CEO of the Center for the Digital Future, and a research professor at the
USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
