FUNDRAISING EFFORT
Omeo Fire Brigade is applying for Government
funding to purchase a fire truck for the new
Cobungra Fire Station, which is a satellite of the
Omeo Brigade.
There are some in our community who, without
request, donate to the brigade annually & we are
always most grateful.
If you are a business owner, a club in the Omeo
Region or an individual who can donate to this
cause, a tax receipt will be provided.
The Brigade needs to raise $30,000.
We’re well on the way but every extra dollar
donated is much appreciated.
This vehicle will, as do our other fire fighting
trucks, respond to incidents in
ALL of the Omeo Region.

Community workshops
Wild Dog Management Zone Work Plan
The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) is holding a series of community
workshops during March 2015 and April 2015 to review the current 2014/15 Wild Dog Management Zone
Work Plans and seek input from local landholders for the development of the 2015/16 Work Plans.
The Work Plans will specify operational targets for both government and community wild dog control
efforts on private and public land over the coming year.
The plans will enable industry and government to more effectively work together using all available tools to
reduce the impacts of wild dogs and DELWP is encouraging public feedback from communities to ensure
local knowledge is captured to ensure a coordinated, integrated approach to wild dog management.
Workshops will be held in your area on Tuesday 31 March 2015:
