Why did I get divorced? Well, last week was my birthday.
My wife didn't wish me a happy birthday. My parents forgot
and so did my kids. I went to work and even my colleagues
didn't wish me a happy birthday. As I entered my office, my
secretary said, "Happy birthday, boss!" I felt so special. She
asked me out for lunch. After lunch, she invited me to her
apartment. We went there and she said, "Do you mind if I
go into the bedroom for a minute?" "Okay," I said. She
came out 5 minutes later with a birthday cake, my wife, my
parents, my kids, my friends, & my colleagues all yelling,
"SURPRISE!!!" while I was waiting on the sofa... naked

Swifts Creek Memorial Pool Inc.
Pool News
There is good news and bad news regarding the Swifts Creek Memorial Pool.
The pool will be filled this week! Unfortunately, it will take at
least a week to get the chemical levels in the pool correct.
This means that the first week of Vic Swim(12th – 19th January)
will be CANCELLED.
At this stage, the second week of Vic Swim (19th-23rd January) is going
ahead, and there may be an option to run a catch up week o
swimming lessons from the 2nd - 6th of February during after school hours.
Thankyou for your understanding as we try to get this
community resource useable again.

A BIG Thank you also to all those that sponsored us in any way,

A Great big Thank You goes out to all the locals, in the community that helped
out this year with the Victorian High Country Fishing Classic.
We had another very successful classic, with fishers from all around the place participating.
Champion Fisher this year went to Bailey Crisp
36 fishermen/women/juniors with 9 fish weighed in on Saturday,
and 7 fish weighed in on Sunday.
Congratulations to our winners on both days, Robert Hall, Stacey Toland, Jack Batty, Pirra Beltrame,
Bailey Crisp, Robert Barns, Joanne Barns, Yvonne Connley, Adrian Christiensen, Chris Christiensen,
Wombat Connley, Robert Whelan.
We Thank everyone for there participation and support of this event and the money made will go to
restocking our creeks and rivers.
The Committee of the VHCFClassic 2015
POLICE NEWS
Omeo and Swifts Creek Police are looking for anybody interested in assisting
with Search and Rescue Operations from time to time. It is hoped a club can
be formed under the existing Bush Search and Rescue framework.






To participate volunteers need to
Be an experienced overnight bushwalker or ski tourer.
Have successfully completed an extended walk of at least four days or
more.
Have snow camping experience.
Be fully equipped for overnight walking.
Be sufficiently fit for prolonged heavy scrub bashing in difficult terrain.
Be at least 18 years of age.
