BRAVO – the SMART and easy module The new BRAVO is an intelligent remote switching module from RF Solutions’ SMART Radio module range. Ideal for use as an IoT (Internet of Things) device, allowing integration of RF into a wide range of applications. Whilst BRAVO-T868 is in radio module form it is in reality a complete remote control system in a SIL package. The BRAVO has been designed handle all advanced functions internally, presenting an easy to understand and simple to integrate interface to users. Features include; 1000m range, 8 switching channels, built-in self-test mode and no external component requirement. The intelligent BRAVO transceiver module can be set to act as a ‘transmitter’ or ‘receiver’. A remote radio switching system can be achieved by simply connecting power, ground and your own switches to the modules and then pairing them together using the on board switch and LED. What’s more the BRAVO has the ability to work with off-the-shelf RF Solutions handhelds – giving a faster route to market if required. At 48mm x 17mm in size the versatile SMART module can be easily embedded into a new or existing system. Operating on the licensed exempt 868MHz band it is CE compliant for use throughout the EU.
