JOB TITLE
Presentation Scheduler
JOB SUMMARY
The The scheduler role is responsible for planning and executing accurate and creative schedules for transmission.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES








To prepare the schedule for billings and press, taking into account bill times, commercial compliance and promotional
minutage.
To continually edit and review the schedule up to transmission.
To view and log programmes taking into account transitions, commercial compliance and editorial judgements.
Attending relevant meetings to prepare the schedule for the operational week.
To liaise with continuity announcers and production companies.
To work alongside Media Planning and Continuity to ensure the channel’s presentation items are effectively and
efficiently scheduled in keeping with the on air strategy.
To oversee key projects or events, such as live football or music, when they fall in the operational week.
To provide cover for other department members in some areas, including on call cover during holidays.
ROLE-SPECIFIC SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES











Minimum of 1 year scheduling experience
Sound knowledge of Media Machine or other Scheduling systems
A good knowledge of OFCOM regulations and audience research
Experience of working with different aspect ratios, transitions and commercial compliance
Good PC skills including Microsoft packages
The ability to find creative and diplomatic solutions and work with other departments to achieve this
Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of the company and external suppliers
The ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
Be prepared to take on additional responsibility when required
Proven planning and organisation skills
